I remember when a few had a go at B70 when the Sheil deal didn’t go down, and I had someone I know who currently plays for CFC saying that Shiel was coming saying the same thing that B70 was saying.
End of the day a Carlton ITK knows only share what the Carlton ITK people are happening.
I feel more embarrassed by this club every day
Not keep him on solely for that reason.
Set him up with success as best as possible, if it doesn't work then Clarkson is available to replace.

Not sure of the terms of his termination, but I believe he still would be until Oct 31st or whenever the contracts officially end. He may still be involved in exit interviews and a handover to Mitchell.
It's not just the Clarko side of things though. Teague is still contracted for next year and has not been fired yet. I doubt he would want to be seen as negotiating a job with Carlton while the current holder of that job is still employed. I also doubt that Carlton would want him to publicly state that he's negotiating with us before they have announced anything on Teague. Would hurt negotiations for the incoming coach to announce his predecessor's sacking against the wishes of his potential new employer.

The way it works for me is that I know more than one trusted source! I am definitely not a journalist at all, anyway. . .
. . . from my point of view “Lyon/Cerra guided by Roos with potentially Leppitsch” is what I have consistently heard from 3 different areas.
Clarkson on paper (and 4 rounds this season) is/was excellent . . .
. . . in reality, I think we can see that he’s a little burnt out, and far less supported than he once was and a he’s bit erratic.
This week things ramped up and everyone seemed to go all ‘trade week deadline
Lyon has long loved Carlton, Clarkson has long hated Carlton.
There will be a process and the best candidate or team will win.
I would back Lyon being the next coach, surprised if he isn’t- long ago I first suggested Pyke in a cryptic quick here fun times) a possibility there.

Teague's coaching career?
We smashed Eagles not far from end of season, then flogged Richmond by over 100 points when they thought they were coming and we were clear best team with a round or two to go. I think we flirted with from in last round and never got it back. Was crazy. We lost to Melbourne in week one. Schwarz killed us.
Next week we play Geelong and at this point you just expecting us to bounce back and get our mojo back. Geelong had about 3 prime midfielders out and then you cannot help but think it almost a no brainer win. Then we just play incredibly shit and as fan you just dumbfounded how can go from such hot form weeks before to not even making the preliminary finals. Was a long summer thinking about it and trying to imagine it all just a bad dream and never happened.

True, but it takes heat off everyone involved.
It may actually be true, but if it isn't, and he's still a chance, this statement takes pressure off Clarko, Teague, the Blues and Clarko's manager, who no doubt is fielding 100+ calls a day.

MccLure seems pretty confident on Lyon:
Our only chance of getting Clarkson in 2023 is if 1 of 2 things happen.
1- Teague continues in the role on his current contract.
2- We sack Teague tomorrow and Clarkson changes his mind and interviews next week.
There is no possibility of Clarkson replacing any other coach at Carlton other than Teague.
Damn, I hope we get rid of those medical team members who let De Koning stand and fall again.
