You're right. I think its more a liaison role between the Board and Footy Ops team, and whilst sounding quote officious, there really is no responsibility as such.

As for the CTE, I can confirm without going into any details. He is part of the Peter Jess stable that is looking after players like Diesel and Shaun Smith amongst others.
You'd be surprised how many players are involved in this..

Hard to say Andy, there were some bloody great teams in that decade in 93 we made the GF with a fairly ordinary team when you look back at it, 94 was a massive lost chance, 96 we fell apart with injuries and form…

Then had a good enough team to compete for finals for the next few years but just off the pace to the top teams, then lucky enough with one of the greatest matches I’ve been to knocking off the cheats in 99 but stank it up big time in the GF…

2000 we were easily the second best team and should’ve played in another GF but Dees once again beat us in the first qualifying final that caused us to cross over and meet the cheats in the preliminary, all she wrote…

2001 Kouta’s knee against Richmond in the final along with other injuries, strait sets that’s all she wrote…

Probably 94 and 96 were for different reasons our biggest chances lost, 99 i was that confident goin in but we just got absolutely taken apart…

2000 with a fit Kouta, we were a big chance.
