I read yesterday that Walsh has put contract talks on hold. You hearing anything more?

I heard the Scotty Lucas interview and he’s just timing the situation to maximise a contract offer for Walsh which is fair play.
I’d be confident Walsh will stay unless a ridiculously over the odds offer comes from another club.

I doubt even Scott Lucas would want Walsh to leave the Blues. He knows the value of being a legendary player at a big Melbourne club.

There was nothing to read from that Lucas interview. He admitted Sam has no issue with the club and that talks will ramp up before Christmas. He’ll sign over the summer. Next

IMO, nothing more than smart player management by his manager Scott Lucas. Eek out a few extra $$$ on the contract off the back of the old "turmoil" card.

Walsh also in his interviews seemed very committed to the club. Things may change off course but hopefully we can have a good start to the season and he can sign up. Getting the Hewett and hopefully the Cerra deals done will be pivotal to this

Walsh strikes me as very loyal. Its not like he is from another state also so there's no go home factor. He is destined to be our captain so I honestly don't think he is going anywhere.

Player managers like string the pot for an extra dollar.
