Always thought that faucon bleu was an alternative account for another obnoxious poster on here.Okay I don't generally have issue with people posting plausible rumours and others can make their own minds up re credibility.
I get that this is a rumours thread but surely there is something to be said for posting outright fabrications?
This is this poster's 'rumours' all on the very first page:
1) Dow has asked to be traded
2) SPS has asked to be traded
3) SPS does not want to be traded but the club wants to trade him
4) SPS has been offered a one year deal
5) Pyke is in talks with us (4 times)
6) We are in talks with Pendlebury
7) We are in talks with Hodge
8) We are in talks with other clubs about Setterfield
9) We are in talks with Stengle
10) Fisher is on the trade table
11) Fisher is on the trade table but we might offer him a 1 year deal (note: he is contracted for next year)
12) Interested in Lewis Young - got one!!!....actually was posted 3 or 4 hours after it broke on afl.com.au
Come on dude, get your kicks another way and let people have other good discussions instead of derailing the thread for some cheap likes.
Talk is talk though. It doesn't mean it has to eventuate by any means.Okay I don't generally have issue with people posting plausible rumours and others can make their own minds up re credibility.

Dogs eye free agent Hawk, versatile tall requests trade to Carlton
The Western Bulldogs is considering a move for a Hawk as a potential replacement if Lewis Young departswww.afl.com.au
Talk isn't just talk. There's genuine talk and then there's I need attention talk or just plain I want to stir shit talk. Pretty obvious which FB is doingTalk is talk though. It doesn't mean it has to eventuate by any means.
I talk to a lot of people in my job too, but it doesn't mean anything is guaranteed.
What is talked about and what comes out in the media are different things.
I'm thinking forward or back and pinch hit in the ruck, as needed.Versatile player that can play forward or back, and pinch hit in the ruck. Not sure where we would play him though
Would be more a back up kpd though. Improvement needed but a definite need.Is Young any good? Not sure we need another backup ruck... we need a starting ruck, 26 years and older.
Definitely see this as his best role. Intercept defender graduating to KPD.If he is being recruited for any position other than third tall defender that develops into a CHB then we are doing it wrong.
Doggies board describe Young as a mobile interceptor with poor kicking and limited physicality. Some obvious strengths and deficiencies. If he does come, I'm hoping the club sees him as a defender with the possibility of taking over from Jones.
You'd be selling sps trade value way too short their. I'd be asking for their pick 29 and accepting their pick 36 at a pinch. Could actually make a case that he is worth more than that.L.Young was Pick 49
L.Jones was traded to Carlton for Pick 46
West Coast have 52 after FA comp has pushed them back.
SPS for pick 52
52 to Dogs for L.Young
Effectively is SPS for L.Young and Frees up our pick 25 to go after a slider instead of a KPD which I think gives us a bigger potential for success.

Being a smart arse here, but we bid 5 on Setterfield, that means he went at 5 not 6This may be proven correct but surely that is a very navy and white way to look at it?
Why aren't all the top 10 draft picks given to the top 4 sides then? The whole point of the system is the lower clubs get the best players and they lead the charge up the ladder i.e. Hodge, Lewis, Franklin, Roughead.
Taking Carlton out of it - are the Gold Coast relying on Rowell, Anderson, Rankine, King, Luko, Bowes, Ainsworth (Miller, Flanders, Weller all picks 11-13) to take them up the ladder? Or is it supposed to be the likes of Burgess, Holman, Collins and Ellis that take them to the top 4, and then the top picks add cream when they start winning?
A rebuild will stagnate based on top 10 picks like Dow, SPS, Setterfield (pick 6 originally and we bid 5) and O'Brien not delivering to expectations. I'm not picking on individuals, but collectively the failure of this group (or at least some) to "come on", is a big part of why we finished 13th in year 6 of the rebuild.
It's great that we are getting Hewett and Cerra, but as others have said, these are not the type of players we should need to be adding at this stage.

Sps aint getting traded for pick 52.
Sorry guys, I think we're going to have to come to the realization that he's just not that valuable in a trade. Forget what we paid to get him and consider what you would be happy with us giving up to get a player like that.Pick 52 for SPS? No chance
Maybe pick 35 and 65 (will end up being 40ish and 70ish) and we send 65 to the Dogs for Young which helps their points for Darcy
