I would let Martin come back through the VFL, but as a midfielder. A week or 2, if that calf holds up, plays to the level expected of a mid, bring him back to the side splitting his time 50/50 forward mid
Can you give me your centre square percentages in this scenario old sharpie?

Numbers have to add to 300.

Cripps still 80?
Hewett still 80?
Martin 40?
Walsh?
Cerra?
Kennedy?

You pushing Walsh to a wing in this set up?

Some people don't put weight or size on when hitting the gym, just need to look at the guy who use to wear number 6 for us up until recently.

Really?? I always thought Murray Vance was a decent sized specimen.

Your interpretation of an exchange with a keyboard warrior is doing a hell of a lot of legwork for your judgement of his character.

10 mins after a heavy loss, reportedly after the loss of a close family member - he's posted on social media in a less than polished manner.. Is it at all surprising? Nope.
Whilst we're at it, what's your excuse for your own lack of forethought?

Why would he be on social media in that case is the question.

Anyway, back to Carlton.

The VFL game he played he was starting centre during the 1st half (all that I saw). Sloppy disposal.

Cripps 70
Hewett 60
Kennedy 50
Walsh 30
Cerra 40
Martin 30
Fisher/Durdin 20
Where are you playing Cripps and Kennedy for 30% and 50% of the game respectively? Forward? I get there are rotations on the bench, but we can't have a forward line of Harry, Charlie, JSOS, TDK/Pitto, Cripps and Kennedy all up there at times.

Take away 1 forward (or even 2) for bench rotations and that still leaves with us with AT LEAST 4 tall forwards on field at all times.

Personally I have it...

Cripps - 80%
Kennedy - 65%
Hewett - 60%
Walsh - 40%
Cerra - 40%
Fisher - 15%

They are not hard and fast suggestions and someone like Kennedy only spends around 70% on the ground, not to mention those forwards don't play 100% of the game and in JSos case, ruck chopout

Murray Vance is not a name I have heard in a very long time. He was Pick 6 and played 5 games of AFL football for us before being delisted and never getting another shot at another AFL club. 4 of the next 5 selections, after Vance, played between 200 and 325 AFL games each.

Essendon deserve pick 6, outside of Carlton winning that’s what I’m focussed on this year

Can we keep on topic in this thread.

I don't buy it with Martin, I have seen him multiple times at a high performance sports health clinic doing his 'extra-curriculars'

Sounds speculative
Could just be a person who needs to be at 100% to perform, and he's not been 100% at any point this year.
