They’d want to package up a crew who all want to be there. When they started they had Breakfast Point where they all lived together. Seemed good for the team building but the pull of the $ & returning home is always there for their draftees that forces them to pay overs (+ no more COLA).

Brisbane changed their strategy with country kids drafting or those that had already experienced living out of home.

But shouldn’t we ask the question of
Butters? Come back to Victoria and play under Voss again with a team heading in the right direction.

He would be expensive in picks and $ but he’s very talented and his best is ahead of him. Absolutely worth considering.

Cap is set to increase significantly over the next few years, and I think I read somewhere we’ve largely avoided tying our new contracts into that increase.

I think we’ll remain active.

I spoke to a sports journo years ago and he said the gold mine was when a Collingwood player had done something wrong. Every Collingwood fan wanted to see what had happened and every opposition fan wanted to revel in the misstep.

I am more perplexed with supporters suggesting we should have taken player XYZ, rather than A or B, after the fact, while never sharing their thoughts prior to the event

Add to that, we are stating that we made an error by taking a certain player, who is young and still on the list

About 2 years in, we had supporters wanting to trade Weitering for a 2nd rounder

Yes, I was critical of some of SOS's late picks and like all clubs we have had 1st rounders not living up to expectations, but that won't stop us making finals
