We've been hearing it since they spectacularly got the details of Cripps's contract extension so wrong.

Sam Edmund has half a dozen close contacts in our club. He's one of very few who I'll take verbatim when it comes to Carlton. He has enough ethics about him to cross verify his stuff before going live

Believe what you like mate. Why would I make that rumour up, it's not overly interesting. And the media has been banging on about our cap pressure for a while. Which I didn't really think to much about until my friend mentioned this today

I have no issue with you posting said rumour I just think it’s a non-story. I’m a very experienced Systems Engineer and led a Senior Engineering Team that serviced over 200 clients. I would say 150~ were what I’d consider a mess. (Through their own neglect, or ignorance)

I know accounting and IT are two different branches but a lot of organisations don’t do things by the book. I’m not surprised at all to read your rumour as a result but I’m also not concerned.

Often it's purely transactional dependent on the recipients outlook/feelings.
Good press = Good journalism.
Anything negative = they have nfi.

Really though, we could be tight in our cap at present and still able to create space if needed owing to the number of players coming out of contract - either outlook is completely valid,
