Exactly. With the JHF scenarios floating around, Sheezel is a pipe dream unless you mortgage a lot, which I don’t reckon they will eventually do.Can't see us having and picks to get the likes of Sheezel
Can't see how it would happen without giving up a player of value. We'd need to get a top 3 pick, so that we'd have a very good chance of Tsatas if Sheezel wasn't on the board.
It would destroy our trading options for next year. And we'd need to secure a future 2nd or 3rd first, as we can't currently trade our future 1st.I wouldn't give up pick 10 and a future 1st to get pick 3
10 and 23’s 18, great deal imoI wouldn't give up pick 10 and a future 1st to get pick 3
Neither would I.I wouldn't give up pick 10 and a future 1st to get pick 3
Need to send him on a pre draft night out with our Charlie. Can't see us having and picks to get the likes of Sheezel
Hewett is an interesting prospect. Reminds me so much of Cerra and has the exact same kicking action.
Really clean player too.
Interesting point.Hewett reminds me more of LDU than Cerra as a player and the kicking action.
Either way he would be a great get especially if we trade out Setters and Dow.
Also unlike Sheezel (who I like a lot) it’s likely he’s still available at our first pick.
We could then take George with our second if he is still available or a tall.
fo’ shizzleI want Sheezal, just for the name. Sounds like a fan fav already
Someone put Humphries to GCS earlier than our pick. I can see that if Rankine goes.Neither would I.
If we’re out of range and don’t have any further involvement in pick trades we bring in Humphries at 10 instead.
Gws trying to get to 1.I take it we'd be looking at working with GWS ( 3,12,15,18) to give them 10 and next years first.
I reckon it should get you pick 4.Pick 10 + F1 (13?) probably gets us to the pick 5-6 range which I still think is too late for Sheezel. But even if he was still available then I'm not really a fan of trading away a F1st just to climb up the draft order, especially for a team like us who's contending.
Yes I know. They'd be the most likely trade partner I would have thought though, maybe GC with the Crows pick.
Agree Gws & Gold Coast would be most likely trading partner, Sheezel looks very good, but it be worth essentially 2 first round picks, if Austin make that call they must rate him very highly, you would think we would need a Future 2nd round pick coming back.Yes I know. Ideally, I’d rather Martin play as a utility but he needs to find some continuity in a specific role first. I think forward is his starting position but if he gets quiet because of the lack of supply then he and fisher are the first two players I’d throw in the middle to get involved.Agree with everything except Martin in that role. He is far too good overhead and more suited to a ‘taller’ role rather than bursting out of packs.
Zac Williams has all the attributes to play this role but I’m not sure he’ll be moved from defence, or if his body is up to it. Durdin has the foot skills but not sure he’s fit enough to be another Boomer Harvey.
Lots still to play out. GWS would like to secure pick 1 from North, with North hoping to get pick 2 from west coast as part of the JHF trade.I take it we'd be looking at working with GWS ( 3,12,15,18) to give them 10 and next years first.
The following is a hypothetical and not a rumour:
We trade (pick 10 + Setterfield + F1) for (pick 4 + F2.)
I would be happy with something like this.

My read on it is it will most likely be a move we look at on draft night assuming he's not taken in the first couple of picks.
If all goes to plan, Ashcroft (matched), Cadman and Wardlaw will be the first three, then we will dangle a carrot in an attempt to slot in.

Just on the hypothetical there, isn’t Wednesday the last day you can trade players? then after that it’s just picksLots still to play out. GWS would like to secure pick 1 from North, with North hoping to get pick 2 from west coast as part of the JHF trade.
