4 years at 750 wouldnt be enough for band 1. is roughly what rockliff got from us and it netted band 2 for Brissy.
The only way he gets band 1 is if the AFL want to give crows a leg up, which i will admit isnt out of the realms of possibility

Saints gave up picks 5 and 22 for Carlisle and pick 14. Not sure where each pick ended after bidding picks, but that was the pre-draft picks.

Works for me, doesn’t he then get some grant from NAB?

Not sure if this has been raised but only scenarios from here:
1- All FA offers go cold and crows sign him prior to trade period on cheaper deal.
2- still some offers in the water (albeit lower). Crows are super pissed. Wait until they see the AFL magic 8ball compo outcome and then probably sign in anyway.
3- crows won’t him gone at any price. Gets a 2 year offer from a club that won’t cop as much flack from sponsors (I.e GC) and AFL gives crows like pick 36 or whatever.

I mean if it’s not pick 2, surely a seasoned mid is what crows need with all the kids going to be coming through, rather than another second round speculative pick.
