"Fremantle at all times wanted picks in this trade period"Negotiations over the weekend and on Monday saw talks progress, with Saints list manager James Gallagher looping in other clubs to find picks that will land in the hands of Freo footy boss Peter Bell.
"Fremantle at all times wanted picks in this trade period," Hill's manager Colin Young told 7NEWS reporter Tom Browne on Monday night before a meeting with St Kilda.
"St Kilda will have to work pretty hard to appease them and get the right picks for them going forward.
Something that no one could have possibly predicted that involves Melbourne, Hawthorn and the old Brisbane Bears no doubt"Fremantle at all times wanted picks in this trade period"
Can't wait to see what convoluted deal has been concocted to ensure this happens.

Brad Hill's drawn-out trade to St Kilda is imminent as the Saints edge towards finding the picks necessary to satisfy Fremantle.
Hill has two years to run on his contract with the Dockers but nominated St Kilda for a desired return to Victoria, where he won three premierships with Hawthorn.
Despite having a five-year deal on the table for the 26-year-old, the Saints last week traded away pick No.6 in a swap deal with GWS.
That landed St Kilda picks No.12 and No.18 but it left many to question whether they had called the Dockers' bluff or missed out on the chance to complete a trade for Hill.

"There's been a lot of work done on the weekend and this morning so I'm hoping in the next couple of hours we'll get a positive outcome, if not tomorrow morning."
While the paperwork cannot be lodged until the morning, an agreement on Monday night could see the trade follow the path taken by West Coast's trade for Tim Kelly.
The Eagles and Geelong confirmed the broad details of the trade the night before the deal was made official.
Young said the Saints stepped up to the plate to get the deal done.
"To the credit of both clubs they worked pretty hard over the weekend. We were in constant dialogue, the three parties," he said.
"James was meeting with other clubs today to try to get a positive outcome for the Fremantle football club so I'm hoping that either tonight or tomorrow morning Belly might get it across the line."
From a Freo perspective, I'm hoping the bolded bit is indicative of what the trade ends up looking like.Brad Hill's long-awaited trade imminent after Saints step up for Fremantle

He is the Wednesday Wonder.90% of the remaining deals to go through tomorrow while Dodoro is the last one standing on Wednesday?
90% of the remaining deals to go through tomorrow while Dodoro is the last one standing on Wednesday?
I’m thinking He is meaning Pick 12 moving up.This was tonight:
Simon Lethlean: “I’m not particularly interested in moving our first round pick, it's something we shouldn't need to do.”
If the deal is done surely next year’s first isn’t involved otherwise it would be a massive backflip by Lethlean in the space of a few hours.
The stories of serious homesickness with him would scare me off. Serious talent though.I want Elijah Taylor he’ll fall in about 15-25 zone.

Lethlean should be like a good politician and talk but say nothing.
