Hahahaha.

I can't stop laughing!
Well they're looked like that... Triple M put up a post about players reaction over NBA... who really cares what they think about NBA moves.... in the bigger view NBA players earn more than AFL players, so they should be viewed higher?

Tucker or Balic be on the table for Hill?

Wouldn't have thought so. Can first year players even be traded?? Freo will be very reluctant to give up any youth.

If Hawks are going after O'Meara, Mitchell or some other gun they would do almost anything to clear Hill off the books just for the salary space.

Having said that, I doubt any deal is going to be done unless Hawks want Ibbotson or something.

Brady Grey straight swap?

Don't give me that, you're a role model for the young ones also. Enough of this making AFL players look like they're on a higher pedal stool than anyone else, because they're not better than anyone else in this world. They don't make people better they encourage which is what social workers can do also.

I'm sorry but this is a cop out. They get paid big dollars, ok good for them. But if they can use their faces to add income through advertising because they are well known then off course they should be held to a different level if adverse issues arise.
I'm yet to see some nobody on a Swisse multi vitamin advert.
We can't paid them ludicrous wages, use them to advertise and market and then turn a blind eye and play the whole 'they're just human' card.
It's shifting the goal posts. I'd bet my left nut that if it wasn't Hodge and was some young kid and if it wasn't finals time the club wouldn't just wipe their hands.
Kayne Turner got 4 weeks for drink driving.
Hodge? Well he won another Premiership didn't he. Champion bloke!

I'll help you out brother. Don't mind the Hawks posters over this Brad Hill stuff.

Pedal stool = pedestal

It's not solely about income. It's about following. I teach students so if I was caught drink driving id hate for my class to find out but if they did we'd discuss and deal with it.
If I teached the nations kids, then yes some sort of suspension from my position would be warranted.
Hodge is your captain and your club had an opportunity to make a stand against drink driving. An incident which led to the death of your assistant coaches son. They rolled over and ignored.
Hawthorn are a very strong club and one I'm not afraid to say jealous of. But on this occasion they were weaker then one could even imagine. Turning a blind eye when in such a powerful position to develop awareness? And they dodged it. Weak. Not sure how that can be argued in any way.

Sure, what's his story at Hawks, seems to be in and out of the team a lot. Is he any good or just competing with the likes of Stratton, Birchall, Gibson etc?
He's a stopper, well he tries at that. He is competing with them, but just frustrates the hell out of supporters as he tends to just boot it as far as he can instead of lowering the eyes and hitting a target. Highlight of his career so far is beating Amos Frank at training... nah shutting down Eddie Betts would be his highlight. But that was before he put on Tucky's & Lakeys number & embarrassed himself.

Booting it far and long? Welcome to Freo!

Should fit right in here at Freo then.

Edit: Oops. Quip already made.

Check out the replay of the game on Sunday to see who good Langdon played. 2 goals and 23 disposals ain't bad for a young kid.

And you say Hawks would chase Omeara. I realise that he could be elite, but aren't you worried about him being injury prone. Just look at Morrobito, pick 4 I think and reoccurring knee injuries. And is you did go after Omeara, what number pick would you expect to use on him?

Hard to say. Our first rounder and Freo's late first or early second certainly puts us in the ball park anyway, I would have thought - more so as it gives us more leverage to work with by working up the draft, bring in another club, offer up a player etc keeping in mind a few of the players we're after are all out of contact.

Yeah O'meara would seem somewhat risky but we've a pretty good track record, our guys seem to do their homework pretty well. We brought in Burgoyne off a knee reco and haven't looked back.
More inclined to think we'll shoot for Tom Mitchell or Crouch from Adelaide anyway.

People keep suggesting Langdon but I'm adamant we won't go for him. We're pretty specific with who we trade and draft. We need a ready made mid. If theres an elite one available we'll move heaven and earth to get it done. Langdon won't come to us just for the hell of it.

Good article by Duffield in the Worst Australian today. He says don't sell the farm, I concur.

Let him get out of contract, then get him cheap.

Or get him but don't feel pressured. I'd like him in the side and don't wish for a McCarthy situation. Hawks will realise this and as some have suggested it's in both teams interest anyway.
Also like some have suggested it seems fairly done.

You'll love him, I'll love to see the back of him.
I wouldn't be surprised if we took a gamble on Litherland. His kicking has at least improved and we really need more depth in the role he plays but I doubt we'd spend much/anything to get him. Could be another Menegola situation but hopefully this time he comes good before he ends up at Geelong.

Better to negotiate for uncontracted than contracted.
If we had got Mccarthy we'd be looking at GWS getting no 3 in the draft, and our 3rd round as well. Would mean we didn't have a pick at all, I think wait.

Exactly. We are in absolutely no rush and do not need him. Yes it'd be nice to have him but that's a want not a need. We can play the long game because of our current rebuild.

Haven't seen a great deal of him to be honest but will keep an eye out.

Just more in the belief we'll do whatever we can do land a much needed elite mid in the ilk of O'meara, Crouch etc. Hilly leaving maybe gives us that chance.

Cheers, I think Hawthorn will have a considered look at Langdon because apart from anything else he is showing that he will (not possibly) be a very good player. In a very poor team at the moment he had over 20 disposals in his last game and should have had 3 goals (unproven fingernail stopped one) and has a serious set of wheels.

You can actually look at this guy rather than hope a selection pick will be good. Also acknowledge that some other sweetner would be required. But don't let him get to Collingwood that's no good for anyone!!

Possibly end up having to take Langdon or Sheridan. But I'd love to get Grey

I think the club would happily do the Grey trade because they don't seem to rate him the same as clearly you and me. Balic, even though he appears to be coming good would probably still be too much of an injury risk to interest hawthorn.

You really wont be disappointed with Langdon if he comes Hawthorn's way, would be a good replacement for Hill and perhaps more of an appetite to kick a goal. Like we keep on saying, not trying to sell you a Suban and would be delighted if Ed decides to stay.

If he demanded a trade his value would go through the roof eh?
Nope. Not a Premiership player, could be best 22 at another club. But I just don't see him good enough. Doesn't get enough games here & hasn't set the world alight when he has been given a crack.
