Harsh judgement Doobie! Someone that can't play for shit does not accumulate 133 games for an AFL club with a return of 89 goals, including leading goalkicker in 2008. He tore 'em up in the VFL last season averaging 3 goals per game.
It's embarrassing that he has played that many games. He is an infuriating player who is able to play very good football, but rarely produces it playing about 1 good game a year. He doesn't have the football brain or talent to produce consistantly good football, he is also a woeful kick.

His size and fitness (he rarely ever gets injured, unlike most of our players)allow him to bully young kids that aren't big enough or good enough for AFL level, but when he plays on someone his size he is rarely sighted because his football smarts and football ability are quite poor.

I can't see what he could possibly give any club, this is just another terrible decision by Cameron who done his best to ruin my club and now he looks like he's going down the same path with Richmond. Finishing 15th and then picking up so many rejects is a recipe for disaster.

You know what they say about rocks and glass houses. ;)

So please quietly exit our board before you make more of a fool of yourself.

he will bring great leadership to the great young talented blokes at richmond.. the problem brad miller had was at a younger age he was tipped to be a superstar and a future captain of melbourne. he didnt live up to the expectations. would be a different story if that wasnt the case.
he isnt a bad footballer, he couldnt get a game in his developing years and started playing when melbourne werent fantastic. he will be a great pick up to richmond and i wish him and the team well

Sanchez had talent, he just had no defensive side to his game.

If not being able to hit the side of a barn by foot from 5 meters is a talent then yes he has loads of talent in fact would be one of the most talented players of recent times.

...jordan won the match for the tigers against melbourne with an after the siren beautifull long kick through the middle of the big sticks...

...(much to my chagrin!......)....

...whether he should have done so at the time is still open to debate......

NO! Just no! That debate was closed many a month ago, and should never be opened again! :p :D

Sanchez actually had quite good skills, the problem he and the team had under Wallace was the game plan or lack thereof.

I read a article mid year when we were on a winning streak and one of the players who was quoted in that article said something along the lines of, because of the structures put in place each players knew where to run to and where to kick at any given time during a setup, and because of this knowing where a player will be the skills had lifted and we looked a far better side because of it.

Jake King is a perfect example of this, all through his career he looked like he couldn't hit the side of a barn, but for some miraculous reason this year his skills were actually quite good.

Also the constant criticism of Wallace was that the team had no real structures and a game plan so to speak.

I am a firm believer in that every player drafted has talent, whether or not a player fulfills that talent is up to the player them self.

Did Wallace recruit Jordan for the ability to kick a footy?

pppffttt mcmahon was a turnover merchant especially when under the slightest bit of pressure.

on king one yr does not make a career invariably they do revert to type. besides you would hope he would have at least one good yr the age of 26. can i ask mt what do you primarily look for in smalls.

Can I ask what you expect in everyone? I hope you demand the same simplistic things from yourself in everyday life.
Instead of saying 'One good year does not make a career', how about saying 'Let's hope he continues where he left off from last year.'
I feel sorry for your kids if you have any. What pressure they must be under.

I can see your point tuuger but 2 play devils advocate (out if interest), at what stage of a players career do u just turn around and say he is not up 2 it (and this is a general question not relating to Kingy). From Santa's point of view (and I guess im in this boat) for far 2 long we've hanged our hopes on players that have been around long enough yet are not up 2 it. They show a few games of consistency and we all cream our pants and say next yr is the break out yr and wat do u know it doesnt happen. U should be able to 2 see from early on who u think might make it. A few flashes of glimpes here or there is what we expect of a good player but the key is he builds on it from yr 2 yr. Otherwise they are just teasers & god nows we have hade plenty of them. (or maybe they were just shite from the begining that we allowed ourselves to be teased with our Richmond caps on) This is why I believe we are in the most exciting period of our FC since I was born. We are fiinaly doing a rebuild properly. We are a young list. We are yet to figure out who will make it or who wont but at this stage every one has potential. U play the kids and try work out out as quickly as possible who is up for it. If not you move on those palyer who arent & go back to the draft.

I agree with you. Good post.:thumbsu:

Gee you totally missed the point of my post, I was saying that the players with Dimma the structures and game plan in place knew where to kick the ball the majority of the time, and with the confidence of knowing where a player will be at any given time during a setup of play helped the skills of the players.

In no way was I saying Kings career has been good so prior to 2010, all I was pointing out was that up until this year his kicking has been well below average, and this year under Dimmas structures he turned it over less and his skills went up a knotch.

Campbell is a back up ruckman, not an overly important role. It's a role to protect Jamar from burn out. Miller is a KP forward which is a more important role than a back up ruckman. It's a position where you need to be consistant not just play one good game a year which he has done his entire career at Melbourne.

So to protect Jamar you recruiting a old injury prone ruck???

So who do you think Miller is going to be protecting then?

So it's ok for Melbourne to recruit Campbell to protect a mature ruck in Jamar but it's not ok for us to recruit a matured body to protect our young forwards?

Get your hand off it mate and as I said earlier leave the board before you make yourself look like more of an idiot, which now you have already done so good job. :thumbsu:

LITTLE STINGA

...c.c..crash...

...that was the sound of a glass house...

...collapsing......

No glass house at all. Robbie Campbell was not rejected by Hawthorn. They were shattered when he went into retirement due to a persistent knee complaint. If he stays fit, he will play a very important role with the Dees.
