OP's first ever post on North, and he comes out with this crap.

Stick to the EDFL posts, dude. You have no idea about AFL.

I know you might find it difficult, but there's no need for arrogance.

As soon as someone has a different opinion to you, you dismiss them as having no idea about football.

Pull your head in. There was nothing rude in the OP. We're all passionate North supporters (I'd have thought).

Geez, mate, still crying after I had a go at you last week? Let it go.

If you are happy with knee-jerk ignorance from someone who has previously contributed zero to the board (literally), then yeah, nothing wrong with the OP.

Yeah.. cos I was blown away by your argument... It began and ended (coincidentally) by telling me, also, that I have no idea about football. Just for something new.

We're passionate North fans here and there is some b/s spoken at times. But in this instance, I did not think it was of the 'sack scott we r shyte bettr wiv laidley need archer stevens bak we r a joke' variety.

But hey.

Carry on alienating people. We don't need comrades anyway. We've got too many of the ***ckers.

A few times when we looked clean and to be following some sort of plan is when we scored. And that was straight down the ground.

Scott cannot teach them how to handle pressure. This caused the bad decision making and errors. After some experience, these kids won't make these mistakes we saw today.

I'm not too worried. Collingwood is one big gap ahead of the rest of the competition. I would be worried if something like this happened against West Coast though, but it didn't.

Wait a minute, I just re-read it properly.

Did he seriously suggest Mark Williams? Seriously?
Yeah Mark Williams the same Mark Williams the PREMIERSHIP coach.Having said that though Nothing wrong with Scott and he deserves to be given time to develop as a senior coach
while he develops a young potentially very good list.Wouldnt burn a bloke though that has already developed a list and managed to take his club to the holy grail.North could do with a bloke like Williams as a support to Scott.

Wow! There are some seriously sensitive people on this forum who don't know how to have a conversation. The OP is trying to start a conversation but the poster gets personally attacked. Because it's his/hers first post they have no credibility? Apparently, the more you post the more you know about footy.

FWIW, the jury will be out about Brad until we start to perform on the big stage. Our skill level is low, we aren't tough at the ball, our game plan does not appear to assist us get close to the better teams (like, for god sake, Richmond last night!).

I am hoping our skill level will improve over the year and we are on an uptrend in terms of a maturing list for seasons ahead, but does the list have enough talent? After a performance like we had today, and against the Bulldogs and Cats in the NAB cup, I haven't seen anything this year to convince me we will be top four in the next two/three years. I know injuries haven't helped and I didn't expect to beat the Pies today, but I expected to see some signs and some competitiveness. We showed nothing today.

This board resembles (the Cats board of) Bomber Thompson's early days, and Clarkson's, and Malthouse's, etc etc etc.

Things can turn rapidly. Round 2, we're 0-2, having played in Perth during a heatwave and against a rampant reigning premier in Collingwood, who's pressure and superior ability/strength/fitness/well drilled game plan, made us look waaaaaaaaaay out of our depth.

Bon's a young developing coach. He's not The Messiah when we win, and he's far from the devil when we're pantsed.

This shit is going to take time, for the players AND the coach, who's shown enough in his 24 AFL games in charge!

:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: (one for each paragraph!)

I can kinda see where the OP is coming from. Compare us to say Richmond. Both of us had new coaches last year, both with young lists, ours was expected to perform a bit better and we did. But Richmonds second half of the season was a vast improvement and from what I've seen of them so far this year that improvement has continued, to their point where I'd say they have surpassed us for skill and attack on the ball.

I concur with the previous post that it seems as though Scott's messages are not getting through to the players.

North will win at least 3 more game than Richmond and belt them, again, this year.
Bloody hell, this thread is amazing.

I find it amusing that after all these years of posting on this forum, you have been amazed and astounded by the views of some of our fellow North supporters after a heavy loss. :stern look

Yep some serious perspective issues at the moment. Supporters need to remain staunch, now more than ever.

What a roller coaster ride it has been. There will be a few more ups and downs to come no doubt but the signs are good.

Loved the enthusiasm of this post when the chips were down. "Shit is going to take time" - has been floating around in my mind for a little while now. Slowly, slowly...
