Blergh.

Both Bell and Wicks wracked it up but their footy IQ is not what it needs to be.

Prefer to give Roberts a crack over both
Atleast wicks is guaranteed to put his gonads on the line and crack in whilst everyone else is fluffing about. High IQ clearly didn't win us the game today.

Not far behind you. They roll over far to easy. When challenged go to water. 16 points up half way through the last was never going to be enough. Not enough backbone.
I rekn it's more a lack of killer instinct than playing poorly. There's no urgency or will to put teams away.

Sorry. But we can * right off with that thread title. There was nothing brave about that. It was weak, gutless, lazy, selfish crap. Not brave.

The fact we have so many players that can’t kick at goal is an indictment on our skills coach.

The fact we consistently concede runs of 5-6 goals is an indictment on everyone from coaches to players.

The fact that our zone was picked apart for 3 quarters and not a ******* thing changed is an indictment on the coach.

The fact that we got torched in the middle by a bunch of downhill skiing *******s who sleep with the light on is an indictment on the midfield group.

Pathetic. I have no trust that we will win any of our remaining games including against North.

Show some ******* heart.
And what made things even harder to digest was that weak as piss scaredy cat Stringer icing goals in the last after continually shitting himself every time he got it. **** I have a cheek calling Stringer weak after witnessing that showing from our blokes.

Correct nor the ****ing steel. Been great Longmire but talent being pissed up against the wall. Needs to be taken to the next level. Stagnating.
I finally concede with Horse Wolfy.
I'm actually tired of it now as a supporter.
I want the team to move on from coach & certain players.
We work too hard to keep certain players that want to leave.
Papley wanted to leave a few years ago. We should have just let him go.
Freo reluctantly gave Cerra to Carlton but got well reimbursed.
Geelong gave Kelly up & got reimbursed. They now have sone real talent.
Papley is not the difference.
Unpopular view but neither is Buddy anymore.
Free up money & list space & go after the future club leaders like we did with Stewie Maxfield years ago. Bite the bullet & not waste players like Heeney, Gulden etc who have talent but not leadership. We have a bunch of talented individuals but no no Crouches, Matthews, LRTs or Richards' on the way up.
Rampe is at the end & that is the end of our leadership after Parker.

New blood needed. There are players out there that wouyld kill to play at our club.

If we're suddenly clamouring for Clarke after one game when he got written off 3 years ago then Stephens is in for a long and prosperous career.
What an odd extrapolation.

I don't want McVeigh, Cox, or Pyke as our coach after Horse.
We need fresh blood like McCrae at Pies.
God knows who that will be. We can become the new Carlton.
McCrae was at the pies as an assistant prior to getting the gig.

You could be right but you also know enough and sound like you have been involved in it that it is a game of competing and we are great when things are rolling our way and have little answer to a surge from opposition. Teams are never just going to roll over and we fail to comprehend it. So to put it in perspective we could be labeled front runners because that is what is undoing front of my eyes anyway.

“Clamouring” is a massive stretch.

Sentiment is with Clarke because being dropped off one of his few recent chances (that he capitalized on) is perceived to be unfair.

A Brett Kirk type player that just pulled us back into games.

Ithink you may find it is a very sarcastic title…..
Then put brave in quotation marks. It makes it look like we are those nuffies on Facebook that insist on clapping the boys for stepping on the field and giving it a good try and telling anyone critical that they aren’t true supporters. Those people are as hard as our midfield were today and by hard I mean as hard as a freshly produced bag of marshmallows.

The turning point in the last was when we had a 2 goal lead and Stephens had the ball at halfback. Had a reasonably simple kick to a teammate on the lead into space. Messed it up, ball went out for throw in, and Essendon kicked a goal soon after
Disagree. The turning point was when we were 26 points up in the second and Papley misses two simple shots at goal. Include the one he missed on the 1/4 time siren. We should have been 6-7 goals up and game over
Instead, Essendon kick the next 5 goals.
If you're looking for one person alone to blame, he's your man.

Reading the OP would have sorted it out

Agree with this and the gifted goal for the free against Reid that was perfectly legal give them a spark with that goal
