Quote from "The AGE' website

"Cousins, 29, has also been charged with one count of failing to comply with a requirement to provide blood."

Surely one can elucidate from this that Cousins didn't want to finally have a positive drug test recorded....That way the idiot can live in denial by stating that he has never has a positve test.

So what can the police actually do when the clown refuses to let them test him? Get a court order to force him to give blood or just charge him for the refusal to give blood? There's absolutely no reason to refuse the test other than if you know it's going to be positive - everyone knows it so no matter what Cousins thinks by avoiding this test, we all know he's just a junky who happens to be good at footy.

Question remains, Are the AFL and WCE allowed to assume his guilt? I dont think they can

Its different. Sounds like its being reported as a mere traffic fine now. Crazy considering the handcuffs and how long he was in custody.

Maybe the cops took the evidence to the DA, and she (always a hot babe) said you don't have enough to charge him.

Ofcourse!:)

But so is heroin in smaller dosages - Those who know what they are doing can easily abuse oxy, it is a very potent opioid.

Back on topic so far it appears to have been a planned operation they are deliberatly sending a message to other players during the off season - I think Ben will be made an example of, sorry to say but this is the end of his career. Hope I am wrong

Yep exactly right...in the U.S. the most common reason for pharmacies/chemists to be held up & robbed is for Oxycontin (ie. rather than to steal money or another drug).

Now where did I keep those spare tablets that I didn't use...;)

being good at footy is all we want, dont we? i couldnt care less if h murdered someome as long as he can run and kick goals the way he does...GO DA EAGLES...:D

Haha. Everyone did a good job blowing this out of proportion. I think Cousins might be a cat because I wouldnt be surprised if hes on the field in 2008

if the west coast eagles had an ounce of integrity, they would get rid of cousins. they already said he was on his last chance. anything less would be showing that they are gutless wonders.

CHARGES CHANGED TO A SIMPLE TRAFFIC OFFENCE.

$500 fine for not providing a blood sample.

It comes under the Traffic Act = no criminal conviction.

No mention of any drug charges.

Source: ABC Radio

Its a big hullabaloo for a driving charge then, is that all there is to it?

They only changed one charge. They changed the failing to give blood to failing to comply with a requirement from the traffic act. The drug possession charge has not been dropped.

The police have released a statement saying the original media release was wrong. This is the new charge according to official documentation.

So another WA cover up, from the cops & the weagles, no wonder Benny thinks he can get away with murder if this is true.

How can the cops come out in the media saying he's been charged on two counts, then a couple of hours later, say it was a minor traffic offence?

What about the little package of drugs, they showed a cop finding in his car?

Take your Eagles fan hat off for a minute and answer me this. Why would someone refuse a drug test when asked to do one by police?
Why are we still talking about the refusing a drug test thing when it is now out of the equation, if he was not charged with it i dont see why we should be arguing over whether or not he would have tested positive.

Those who don't know what they're doing can abuse it, get rid of the cover and it's on for young and old. You're right I can't believe it's still prescribed so easily.
