I can envisage Bolts and Crippa holding aloft the premiership cup one-day#daretodream

Go Blues !

We're gonna need a bigger ladder.

Nuclear level of optimism in here. On one hand - I love it. On the other... I can't help but want to hose it down a little to avoid a big fall - instinctive given our failures of the last 15 years.

Most refreshing thing for me was him talking strongly about having a 'collective' mentality.

Unlike MM who was all about himself, BB is looking for input from other coaches and the players themselves into our game style, which will certainly make the players happy.

Also spoke about a collective mentality, 'us' not 'me', and that he wants us to play 'balanced' footy between offence and defence and that every player needs to buy in and perform their role and be 'reliable' rather than 'remarkable'. As great as Juddy was, gone are the days of a messiah and thank god for that.

In the same vein spoke of 'leadership density', meaning spreading leadership qualities throughout the club so that when one person leaves/goes down, another can take his place as Hawthorn have done so well.

The concern may be that he wants to keep David Ellard at the club though?
On the contrary, he'll even more likely delist him as it gives off too much competition to be the shortest. Can't help but think he revels in his stature - makes him who he is.

Yeah, I thought all was going to be swell when MM took over. I was young and dumb and wrong.

But I guess there isn't much further we can fall. The club do not appear to have any illusion about where they are at and they have charged Bolton with the job of setting a course in the footy department. Doesn't appear to be the 'same old' Carlton.

Anyone got a link to the press conference as i have just walked in from work and don't really want to search through 10 pages of posts!
