Welcome to Carlton! Absolutely stoked with this appointment! Was starting to get worried that maybe like others eg: Dew and Lloyd that Bolton would pull out of the race because of our current circumstances. I genuinely think this is the man to lead us to 17! The best of luck and go blues!

Welcome Lord Bolton.

Hardwick, Cameron, Simpson, Beveridge and now Bolton. Clarkson has an impressive list of assistants under him turning into senior coaches.

Yep all doing well and seem to be great teachers and employ modern gamelans that work.

Lets hope Bolton can do a Beverage with us next year!
Though we don't have a Jake Stringer...what a gun he is and a key reason for the Dogs' rise.

Exciting news. Can't help but feel like the club is getting back on track a little bit at a time!

Welcome to Brendon. All the best!
I actually think that being around Ratts while at Hawthorn may mean he isn't coming into the club completely unaware of recent structures / cliques / vibes etc. Hopefully that's a good thing...

Actually rapt Carlton finally made a hard call, because the easy way was to take Barker.

I hope the club give Bolton a 5 year deal and say mate this is your team we won't F*** with what you are doing for a change see what you can do.

We need stability for once!

The words suggest he is going to get the time and support he needs.

It's far better when you know what the job is going in, rather than changing tack midstream.

Great News! Absolutely stoked with that decision! Feel like this is a nice positive week in whats been a tough year!

I wonder where the future lies for Barker. Love the bloke and think he's done a great job with us in tough circumstances.

Wonder if him staying on and stepping back into an assistant role again is a possibility?

His press conferences and general demeanor is infectious.

"How good is it to coach your own side?" He's going to take this opportunity with both hands and run.

Great appointment, and great decision CFC.

He's a nice guy but he's got no problem telling people how it is.

Seems to have a lot of emotional intelligence.
