Don't agree with this assessment at all. Today's exercise was a jog, not a training run. Hopefully there' ll be something a bit tougher later this week. Payne looked ok to me, admittedly under very little stress.

My first thought after the Melbourne /Carlton game was we'll smash either of them at the Gabba with the week off.

It's funny how the mob tends to look for problems as a few days pass and the press goes to work on building up the contest.

I don't think they'll have more than a half in them but being a prelim they'll go nuts early and hope the adrenalin keeps pumping.

We just need to stay in there, take our chances and stay focused on our gameplan.

I'll be very disappointed if we don't do it easily enough.

The only role Gunston can play is replacing Daniher or Hipwood if they get injured. If they play him at the expense of Robertson or Ah Chee, they are changing a winning formula and will be tempting fate.

To play a bloke after 6 weeks with no match practice, whose place in the side was questionable to begin with, would be insanity. Sentimentality rarely wins finals.
