Well it resulted in someone’s head being pummeled in to the ground, so not really
talk about exaggeration!

Her body took most of the impact, there was some slight incidental contact of the head on the ground, but it was not caused by the tackler putting the player in a dangerous position.

If you start rubbing out players every time someones head hit the ground, there won't be enough players left to field sides each week.

Suspension should not be THE detterrant to change behaviour, it's reactionary and too far after the event to change the behaviour like people want to.

Suspension is designed to elimanate non-footballing acts that cause danger or impact to another player out of the game, it is not there to help reinforce rules around footballing acts, that is the umpires job to do that on the spot.

If people want this to be a suspension, then we might as well just move to touch footy, it's as simple as that.

Would it have been sent to the tribunal if Paige had suffered a devastating knee or hip injury, seriously affecting the rest of her life?

Not making light of brain injury and concussion as it is serious and can lead to long term health issues, but so do many other injuries yet only concussions are sent to the tribunal.
