And again thanks for paying his salary.
They're paying what 300k? We're paying 600k. Is he playing like a 600k player? No. He's also playing Gawn out of form. The experiment hasn't worked imo and rucks are overrated.

Grundy is playing horrible footy. I knew he wasn't known for his skills but geez he is bad. At one stage he earned a free and a port player threw the ball back to him softly and he still dropped the ball.

I have always thought rucks are over rated, would rather spend the salary cap money on another good midfielder and a run of the mill ruck who breaks at least even in most contests.

The problem is they are both genuine #1 rucks who can't play anywhere else nor get into their proper rhythms given the split they need.

It was a risky move at the time and just doesn't look like it will pay dividends however give the way the Lever/May recruiting went and was laughed at early days who knows if this can find a way to work

I wish you were right. He's been disappointing this season. If only we could dump his salary and get Gawn back to his AA best. What a disaster signing by the dees.
Has gone how I expected and couldn't understand all the over the top excitement from most in the media,

Neither Gawn nor Grundy are capable forwards and can only play as a number 1 ruck however the issue is they both need 65%+ time in the ruck to get properly involved which is obviously not possible.

Sadly by the looks of things you look set to have another couple of years dealing with this
