Re: Brownlow Medal

i had a look through the herald sun and the age at their votes and saw that neither gave Bret Ebert any votes. i had him as one of the best on, when i watched the game. for those who saw the game, is it that i have no idea or are the papers a bit inaccurate in this case?? how do people think votes will go in that game??

also, for people who saw the hawks vs dogs game, how do you think votes will go in that one?? interesting one because the match was over at half time pretty much, so hard to say how the votes will go. especially with many people keen on Boyd, who got most of his touches in the last quarter when he contest was over.
cheers guys

Ebert was definitely in the best. NOt just for the goals but the defensive pressure.

Big Nasty, do you have a link to to the coaches votes?

Re: Brownlow Medal

ta

What votes did people have for Melbourne Vs West Coast? Very even contributors, I suppose Grimes should get the 3 but the umpires may not know who he is.

Also interested what votes people had when Port beat Hawthorn at the MCG (round 4)

Re: Brownlow Medal

I have Hayes in the lead on 22 votes, Ablett 20. Going through this thread and on past season totals that seems a bit unrealistic, but then again I did correctly predict Cooney the winner last year :p (had Black and Goodes about 10 votes between them though)

Hayes would be a good winner. Ablett probably deserves one, but I've always enjoyed watching Lenny play and I think a Brownlow would be deserved. Hayes and Ablett as dual winners would be good.

Re: Brownlow Medal

i put $100 on hayes tonight at 15.00 great value for a bloke thats in great form, wouldn't be far from the pace and was the saints highest vote getter last year.

Re: Brownlow Medal

I also think Thompson is being dangerously overlooked, to place anyway.

There is a real possibility he is on 12+ votes at the moment and the absolute minimum I would have him on at this stage is 10. I've had a decent crack at him at $1001 and $251 to place - $25 e/w. If Ablett/Judd/Hayes are on 18-20 at this stage I think it may be out of reach, but if they are around the 15 mark Thompson is definitely a sneaky chance. Polls very well and the Crows have 7 winnable games out of the remaining 9.

Re: Brownlow Medal

ablett out = great news for brownlow betters i reckon!

if swan plays a vote worthy game tonight i reckon he could really clear out.

hoping judd has a quiet one (but we still win)

c'mon all you outsiders....big week please (cooney/kirk/hayes/murphy)

Averaging over 30 touches in the last 6 wins, would be in the top 3 for clearances, contested possessions and up there in inside 50's. If he were $10 to place, I wouldn't be so keen but at $250 I don't see how you can pass on that value.
