Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

For Fremantle V Carlton

3 M.Barlow

2 A. Walker

1 A. Sandilands

(i have'nt seen the stats yet, i just went with what i thought watching it at Etihad)

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Geelong v St Kilda game pretty hard to tip for me anyway, there's quite a few players in the mix across the board, but i'll give it a stab.

3 - Dal Santo
2 - Selwood
1 - Enright

Gwilt, Montagna, Milburn all in the mix too. Even Schneider or Steven could pinch a vote. Very hard to call IMO.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

3. Gwilt
2. Selwood
1. Hayes

Gwilt was huge tonight. Plenty of run and carry out of defence, he stood out big time.

Selwood was the best mid and Hayes was the other that stood out. Both got plenty of frees as well (not sure if that helps).

EDIT: Not sure about Hayes. Maybe one of Schneider or Steven for the 1 vote.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

I think Hayes and Selwood should definitely get votes. Hayes had 14 tackles and heaps of possessions. Gwilt, Montagna, Dal Santo, Schneider and Enright could all take the last vote.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Was at the game last night:

3. Luke Ball (seemed to winning every clearance)
2. Harry O'Brien
1. Dale Thomas

Apparently Heath Shaw was ok but I only remember him for falling over all the time. Didak, Jolly, Sidebottom and Swan were good as well.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Leaderboard after round 13:

14 - Barlow
13 - Ablett, Pendlebury
12 - Hodge, Judd, Dal Santo
11 - Bartel, Swan, Hayes, Boyd
10 - Goddard, Montagna, Watson, Harvey
9 - J.Bolton, Sandilands, J.Selwood

Good games from Jobe and Boomer, seems BK can predict the future. Should be a great count this year, unlike 09 where it was over by half-way almost. Only possible dead-set bolter I can see in 2010 is Hodge and maybe Pendlebury. Dal Santo always seems to start well aswell.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Does anyone know how to create odds on the overall brownlow medal winner, top 3 and top 5?

I'm not too sure about predicting the future but like the rest of you I try to predict how players are polling. Obviously fit, in form guys are the way to go.
Boomer and Jobe have to be real live smokey's now.
I now really like Hodge from Barlow. I've been saying for a while that Gazza is no go and again he had good stats on Fri night but is no chance for votes. He's at ridiculous odds at $4.50 !
The quinellas without Gazza are the go for sure this year and we will all get value which is over the odds on any option we like if Gazza is left out.
I still think Judd can feature but is desperate for a 3 vote game or 2. Gazza admittedly would come back into calcs with 2 best ons as well.
Hodge does seem the safe option now and whilst 08 was poor re polling he has polled 15+ twice. He is a real on field leader which must be noticed and fit into the fairest category. The risk with Barlow, as pointed out by many, is the early rounds.
It should almost be 15-1 the field now as any one of 12 or so players could win with 3-4 massive games in the remaining rounds.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Easily the best value. Was $20 before last night with Sportsbet - each way a no brainer..
I reckon he'll be into $12 or so now but he probably should be a $6 or $7 chance IMO. I reckon he's now about 1 big game off the lead ( Barlow / Hodge ) and the others all still need to play this round.
