Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

i'm fairly confident right now that montagna is behind goddard and hayes for most votes at the saints. Possibly even dal santo. I have Montagna on 7 votes and i feel he has about 4/5 games where he may poll.

He is a prime example of a player who consistently gets high 20 / low 30 possession games with disposals which do not attract attention. There are only two games, round 10 and round 14 where i feel he is in the running for 3 votes. Also after his poor polling last year, i have little faith in him and wouldn't be putting any money on him.

(Although i do like Fremantle) I am kinda hoping they lose some of their remaining matches and sandilands / pavlich do not dominate in their wins so that Barlow has a chance of most votes. Hopefully his odds will be high at season end and the agencies will forget how stellar his first 14 afl games really were ;)

Im hoping the same thing. Although, with barlow being a first year player he is kind of an unknown in regards to how well he will poll. However having said that, i think he should poll pretty well.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Just looking on Centrebet and you are not able to multi most team votes anymore, sorry if I've missed the news, but does anyone know why?

There seems to be a bit of value, Hodge @ 8 is unreal imo, however Pendlebury at 8 for Most team votes at Collingwood seems real good value as well.

Out of interest I've coupled Hodge/Melbourne to win wooden spoon, $5 to win we 560.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Looks as though a few more players are starting to hit double figures in votes, which is always a sign that we're heading towards the business end of the season.

Hodge, Judd, and Ablett are clear standouts at the moment for mine, with Bartel and co. not too far behind. It should be a ripper count this year! :thumbsu:

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

To further my point, Montagna has been the standout player in 4 of our wins with Dal Santo 2nd. hayes has been too inconsistant and with Goddard polling well Hayes will not get very many. Too many of our other players have got higher possessions than Hayes. Also 2 of Hayes' top disposals were in loses so that also counts against him for high votes.

my Saints leaderboard

Montagna 14-16 (3 BOG)
Goddard 12-14 (3 BOG)
Dal Santo 10-12 (2 BOG)
Hayes 7-9 (1 BOG)
Riewoldt 6 (2 BOG)

No offence mate, but clearly you have an agenda as you are working for, or on behalf of Sportsbet - you have their links splashed all over your website. You claim to have picked the trifecta in order last year? BullS*t. You guys did not rate Hayes anywhere near that high - he was rated 4th best for the Saints, not 3rd overall. Go advertise yourself somewhere else. I doubt anyone here is gullable enough to follow your tips..And if you really want to make yourself useful pass a message onto your boss at Sportsbet and tell them to open some club markets and allow multibets!

going by your reasoning Dane Swan should have been the 2009 Brownlow Medalist.

stupidest post ive read for a while

I don't work for Sportsbet, but as my Brownlow Medal site is a betting site for the Brownlow, of course there are going to be betting related stuff on there. I link to sportsbet because you can deeplink straight to the market there, you can't at Centrebet as their site is a frames page.

Anyway, if you want the club markets go check out Centrebet, they are the ones with the club markets in case you didnt know :thumbsu:

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

I do an absolute ton of research on the brownlow every year, always have plenty of bets that lose but i've ended up being up pretty much much every year. I had a look at that phantom brownlow medal last year, and I didn't agree with much of the vote distribution. But at the end of the day it was by far the most accurate phantom brownlow on the net! For the record I once again dispute the leaderboard... for reference sake i decided to start throwing my money around a bit earlier this year to try and get some big chances at better odds... i've put 100 on pendlebury at the pies but that could easily go either way. 40 on lenny hayes at 6.60 at saints, and 50 on goodes at swans at 6..hayes and goodes i bet on ages ago, pendlebury i bet 50 today and 50 a month ago when he hit 9.50.

Nice try mate. But your association with Sportsbet is clear and concise. From your site.....
"Bet on the Brownlow Medal

The best place to bet on the Brownlow Medal is with Sportsbet. Their range of markets for everything AFL is exceptional, they have the Brownlow Medal market online throughout the whole season, and you can also bet on each team's best and fairest."

You may not "work" for them, but you are at the very least sponsored by them. Anyone who bets knows that the best place to bet is where you get the best outcome for yourself for whatever that particular event may be, (be it Centrebet, or Betchoice, or Betfair etc etc), If you aren't then prove it and remove all associated advertising and links. Its an insult to anyone else who posts here to try to hide behind it. And yes, I know Centrebet have club markets - but they don't allow multbets at this stage. By all means post your updated votes and markets, but full disclosure of your allegences should be written with every post that you make. If not then I suggest that the mods ban you.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Just to put my 2 bob in the saints argument. could easily go either way, as with collingwood. people think swan is no chance there because he was second fave last year and didn't do so well. He has polled well in the past, last year averaged 30 + per game and got 12, year before averaged 24 and got 20... same sort of thing goes wit the saints. Dal santo is a proven vote getter, as is hayes. Joey has had a good year, but not as good as last, and i think we'll again see that he finishes behind the likes of goddard, hayes and Dal, with most of his 30+ possession games being 1 or 2 votes, with the maximum votes going to goddard or hayes for breaking the game open in the clinches and contested situations

fair call. considering the link to sportsbet to 'bet now', obviously you get some kind of sponsorship from that....

Sorry mate my comment obviously didn't come across quite right... i have no issue with the site or his comments, i find it all useful when looking at what i'm going to bet on :) just meant to point out he obviously has some form of deal with them, good on him for getting some sort of deal!

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Whats it matter to you what bookmaker i link to? Im sending people to the Phantom Brownlow site because it looks damn cool.

Fact is, Sportsbet and Centrebet are the two best bookies. Other fact is you can link people directly to the Centrebet market, but at Sportsbet you cant, its the way their sites are setup with frames etc.

I cant believe this is even an issue tbh. If you dont like my site dont look at it, simple. There are plenty of people who do because it gets good traffic, and im hoping it helps people out come Brownlow night.

I love following peoples tips on here, so i hope others enjoy mine as well. Your making a complete farse out of nothing Pinnell.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

I rekon their is no way Rodan will receive less than 2 votes and possibly even take the 3. His clearance work was amazing and the umpires are very attracted to his play, add to that 3 fantastic goals.

Swan was great, but wouldn't be surprised if he picked up 2 votes. Many of his possessions when straight down the throat of opposition. Although he did have a great game. Pendlebury for the 1 aswell.
