The Brownlow is a midfielders award, I have no problem with clubs rewarding players for something other than gathering stats.

Don't forget Crowley has won ours and he wouldn't have featured in any lists.

If a player is dominant enough to the the best midfield player in the competition, no matter how well a defender had played for his team he should still win the club f & b.Selwood won Geelongs, Fyfe will win the Doig etc. And Priddis played every game, a huge factor in club f & b.

Priddis is now a considered star because he fluked a Brownlow. He isn't, he is the same hard working good inside mid with limitations that he was at the end of the season.

It will be interesting next season when as the Brownlow medallist he is expected to be a star but all he does is play the same hard working role that he always has. The boo boys will be out in force sharpening their knives.
