Here is PART 1

Historical Rape Allegation Against Fmr AG Christian Porter
The Alexander Matters matters

Just a reminder, this is the crime board and we need to be aware that there will be victims of crime either watching this thread or engaging in here from time to time. A degree of respect in all discussions is expected.

The wheels of justice turn quickly when it comes to privately funded defamation actions. Not so when it comes to the criminal process involving charges of rape.

Former Liberal Party staffer Bruce Lehrmann has had an indictment, alleging two counts of rape, presented to a court west of Brisbane.

The charges relate to two counts of rape alleged to have occurred in Toowoomba in October 2021.

At the time Mr Lehrmann was visiting his former hometown, where he attended school and where his mother still lives.

The 29-year-old has not entered a plea to the charges and did not appear in the Toowoomba District Court to hear the indictment last Thursday.

His lawyer and the Crown Prosecutor appeared via phone.

Judge Dennis Lynch KC adjourned the matter for a further mention on January 23 next year.

Mr Lehrmann is not required to attend court on that date and his bail has been continued.

A senior Australian Federal Police (AFP) officer will face trial in the ACT Supreme Court next year after being charged with offences including perjury.

Detective leading senior constable Trent Madders is facing three charges of aggravated perjury, destroying or concealing evidence, and perverting the course of justice.

Mr Madders later worked in the team involved in the prosecution of Bruce Lehrmann, over the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins. He was one of five officers who lodged a defamation case against the ACT's former director of public prosecutions Shane Drumgold, which was ultimately dropped.

In response to those idiot meme posts above about Schaefer I just checked his feed. He did publish a detailed summary of the first iteration of his claims in November on the Medium platform with, I assume, a desire/assumption it would go further. This is freely available via his twitter feed previously referenced.

By all means go your hardest on critiquing what he's written - but posting memes of 'crickets' with dim wit comments about Putin, Musk and 'Liberal Party Death Squad' is just juvenile and lazy, albeit entirely expected. I mean how hard was it to just check on his social media feed which was referenced and posting something half intelligent in response?

As for the accuracy of the claims and whether anything will come from them, given how many months and years, it takes for criminal charges of rape against Bruce Lehrmann to go to trial, I think it's reasonable to wait a few months or more to see where this goes if anywhere.

After all, we're still waiting on the findings of the ACT Integrity Commission report into Sofronoff-Albrechtsen scandal and the outcomes of the NACC Inquiry into the Department of Parliamentary Services.

Nice try. You posted some idiot from Twitter like it was BIG NEWS, because it happened to suit your baseless narrative. That egg must feel gooey on your face :)

Oh .... stop it will you because you know when you do this, at some point it's coming back at you.

This 'cover up' thing if that's what it can be called, isn't completely finished business either imo.

Oh dear, how embarrassing.

Thanks Kurve. He keeps doing it doesn't he? And never learns. But, as you say, here it is coming back at him:

I posted a comment from someone (Schaefer) with 12,500 followers on twitter who posts regularly on the subject of relevance to this thread.

I posted it 'without' comment with a clear caveat as to why in a subsequent post which, surprise, surprise, you seem to have ignored and didn't reference.

So here is that post again:

I have pointed out that Schaefer HAD in fact followed up on his claims with a detailed response a few weeks ago. They are freely available on line.

Like I said, I don't care if you agree or disagree with what that poster claims in his detailed commentary. But he's gone out of his way to put his claims in writing with links to his reasoning - it's on topic and relevant. Comment in detail on what is posted or ignore it if you aren't up to it. Not reading the claims but making personal attacks on the person who links to them because you don't like it is a breach of BF rules. This is a discussion forum after all.

As Kurve keeps telling you Jason. And as the BF rules make clear - just keep on topic, try and discuss things like an adult, stop with the juvenile personal attacks and school boy memes. This thread and this board works better that way. :)

Oh as to the claims about Glen Schaefer being a nobody from Twitter, a reminder that his posts are followed by a range of people who I would definitely not call nobodies, including current and former MPs, lawyers, authors, former MediaWatch host Paul Barry, Four Corners Reporter Louise Milligan, Guardian Editor Karen Middleton and Ten News National Affairs editor Hugh Middleton. Oh and me ;)

Definitely more interest in his views on this matter than most of the punters here. Which probably translates to more intel from those in the know.

Doesn't mean his views and sources are right of course. Just saying.

Nah, we’ve seen that bit bud!

We just thought it was the entree to the main course that showed a ‘smoking gun’ rather than just listing a timeline surrounding various Parliament related people making reasonable decisions about an event.

There were a couple of decisions here of there that ‘coulda, shoulda, woulda’ gone a different way, but none of them were unjustifiable.

The ‘small elite team of forensic investigators’ have already poured over the documents and even interviewed witnesses. They were Justice Lee and his staff and they found that there was nothing to see here.

People will continue to dig and dig in, particularly after the Sofronoff fiasco.

What has Soff got to do with a supposed cover up and/or burying of evidence?

Obviously, should new info surrounding a strategic cover up arise to the contrary, we should be all ears over said info. But scratching around the periphery of the already published and meticulously legally analysed evidence, trying to forge a new and improved angle, smacks of desperation.

And with that, makes those engaging in such behaviour somnambulant victims of the omnishambles.

You mentioned Lee who might have done a great job but most of us trusted Sofronoff as well.

Oh, you have a new word. Somnambulant. Where did you find it?

Yep, the Noff did some good work. So good, in fact, that when appealed, most of his findings against Dumbgold were upheld. Should Lee's findings be appealed and not upheld, we would have to reassess a lot of our understanding of the events.

(I really thought I might never have to read ####ing 'omnishambles' ever again)

I'm not sure you're ever going to get over the fact that Drumgold was cleared of misconduct.

Sofronoff’s report is well worth a read on this topic and the inner workings of the ACT government.

Oh, you have a new word. Somnambulant. Where did you find it?

I’ve known it for over a quarter of a century. Related to spiritual teachings about us day to day folk who don’t realise that we’re living in what Hindus and Buddhists call Maya.

(I really thought I might never have to read ####ing 'omnishambles' ever again)

It is more polite than “cluster ****”, Recliner, so I’ll choose to use it periodically.

I think referring to 'authority' from a bunch of known 'left' to 'extreme left' wing people, to support an 'extreme left wing nut job' isn't aiding your cause any.

The bloke's stance on anything COVID related for example was nothing but undying support for Labor (saints) versus Liberal (sinners) makes for interesting reading and is an example of the extreme political views of this imbecile.

As I've said a long way back in this thread, there are two types of 'cover-up barrackers';

1. Those who want to throw mud at their hated political organisation and;
2. Those who want to believe Higgins' account unreservedly, irrespective of evidence to the contrary.

I can have respect for the misguided empathy of those who are the latter; but there is a special place in hell for the former.

Oh come on ..

You missed:

3. Those who don't trust the government and know they're usually always hiding something.
