Can I just say - if you were the twat who held up the NYC Serenade sign from about 3 rows back in the middle - go heck yourself. Holding the sign up DURING songs, for EXTENDED periods of time, when people are trying to have their moment watching Bruce, is not cool. Spanner of the highest order.

Yeah I've enjoyed talking to the people a bit further back in the queue. The ones with interesting stories and have only seen him a few times and the like. The ones who are just excited and privileged to be there rather than thinking they have some right to be up the front.

Have downloaded Perth 3. Highway To Hell sounds like a massive wall of sound being thrown at you that you can't get enough of. Adam sounds ******* amazing with horns.

Woweeeeeee oh boy

Finally listening now. You're spot on.

On the mix overall... Right amount of crowd noise definitely. Max's drums sound a little distant, but when you're turning these things around in 3-4 days I guess we can cut them a little slack.

Well said....pissed me off a bit too. I was behind them, but far enough back for it not to bother me too much. Where were you? I was leaning against the center camera barrier again... Had the really old guy with the floral coat and gold pants dancing and whooping it up right beside me. Had to try and calm him down during the quiet bits. T'was a great night.

He's a twat. Did you expect anything else lol
Heard some interesting stories about Graham from other tour 'regulars'..

Apparently he is so OTT that Bruce and the band are wary of him, and if he gets right in the front corner at the centre mic, Bruce will shift it to his left to get away a bit.

He's a selfish twat.

I think Bruce is enjoying tour life without Patti too.....

Before the inside doors opened, Tom the security guy went up to #1 & 2 in the line and said, theres already some people in there at the front of stage, they're guests of Bruce, so please dont be upset that they've gotten there before you.

Lo and behold, theres a couple of nice young things already right at the centre mic, that he just about played half the show to.....

:p

When Bruce did his first tour to the back he was standing up on the platform in front of A seats during Hungry Hearts, some dude gives him a little red hat which he fashion model style parades and then from the 10 row back in the A section he sees this sign, demands the lady come forward with it takes and crowd surface back with hat on, holding sign and microphone and still signing the odd word.

**** this set list comparison. What goes on around the songs is just as important a part of the show. No set list comparison can capture that.

I was about half way back basically in front of Nils, for both nights.

The guys I met from Melbourne - Bruce and Andrew - had a drink at the Intercontinental after the first show as they were staying on North Terrace. They said the whole band was there just chilling back. He said Bruce was off to the side talking to 3 girls - mid 20's. I asked if they spoke to any of the band members? They said no, they were just happy to be at the bar talking and being in the presence of the band and the great man - just like at a show.

I reckon now that Bruce's youngest is 20, he will be back on the road all the time. Patti will probably do the USA tours. I keep thinking of James Brown and how Bruce has replaced him and will be on the road for the rest of his life. Bruce might not be the Godfather of Soul - more the Godfather of Rock n Roll - but he now takes his title of the Hardest Working Man in Show Business.

He might have taken 40 years to get here, but a 3 1/2 hour 31 song show night 1, backed up by another 3+ hour show, with 28 songs and a Backstreets and Jungleland double - 10 tour premieres - 50 different songs in 2 nights. That takes the Oz tour to 80 different songs.

Apart from the BTR album shows - has he done Backstreets and Jungleland in the same show since Clarence has passed away??

Tuesday night I stood 4th on the rail that juts out 45 degrees for the camera in front od Stevie. Last night my number was almost double I got for night 1, but I was 1 person to the left of my Tuesday night spot. In front of me were the 2 blokes I met from Melbourne - Bruce and Andrew who were in the same spot as Tuesday night. At the end of the show we shook hands and said good bye and knew we were soul mates after witnessing two great shows and sharing our other Bruce experiences in the line up and long wait before the 2 shows. On my left was Clayton and next to him Patrick who was a music journo but now is a politics journo from the Daily Telegraph and doing the whole tour. They both got their signs selected - Long Walk Home and Raise Your Hand respectively. They helped stop this lady who wasn't in the line up pushing thru.

We talked about letting a tiny Thai - Aussie girl in front of us so she could see. It took 3/4 of the show in to get her in front of us, but in the end we got Bruce to get her on stage along with 5 or 6 other girls for DITD. She was brilliant on stage first dancing with Stevie and then Bruce and several times giving them the Thai thank you sign and bow. Hope there is some footage of DITD so you can see her.

The Springsteen and I doco wanted 3 words to sum up what Bruce means to you. I thought John Stewart's Empty's The Tank from the Kennedy Honours night was pretty good .

For me its NOURISHES MY SOUL.

ManWithNoName - you aren't even half way and you have heard so much. I know understand why you said you will be knackered at the end of the tour.

The great man on Tuesday night sang

Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain
Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain, let it rain

Well today its non stop rain and its more Sydney and Brisbane summertime rain than Adelaide rain. We will get 50mm. Someone was listening!

Not to upset you too much Cruyff14, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see Jungleland again on this tour. The shiver up my spine came watching Bruce and Jake after the solo. I could be wrong but I just got the feeling it's still a song that's VERY hard for them to perform.

I don't see why it's not a half-decent chance to be played again. He's doing one show only in Sydney and Brisbane - he's going to go all-out at those ones.

You're right though - it's not the easiest song for them to play, and you can tell. Bruce was showing Jake a lot of love last night too.

I'm saying it because it just seems hard for them to do. I could be completely wrong but it might be that as much as they love the song, it's too hard/upsetting for them to do.

You don't need your ticket for roll call :)

Just got a number. 19. Will be late for work with the 1pm roll call but what can you do. **** it!

That's for Saturday?

I guess its anyones guess as to what 9am Sunday numbers will be given out...shitty weather...who knows...
