Traded Bryce Gibbs - Pt. 2 - [traded to Adelaide]

He was trading them to himself.
Jesus read back like 30 pages where this was discussed the first time. Everybody is aware that SOS was at GWS for that deal.

THAT IS THE WHOLE F**KING POINT OF THE DISCUSSION!

Shane Rogers and his team chased Jaksch and Whiley (along with Tutt and others). You are looking at this from the wrong perspective because it suits your anti SOS narrative. Those players were chased and agreed to come, a deal needed to be made.

He was involved in the trade that sent 2 spuds from GWS to Carlton when he knew he was taking the Carlton job in a couple of weeks.

Please provide evidence that this is a fact, not an assumption.

From the facts, we know that SOS was involved in this trade to benefit of the club he was working for at the time. He took this trade to the bank and back. From everything I’ve heard, SOS was aghast that Rogers did this deal and even further so when he used the pick 19 component to draft Boekhorst. It’s no coincidence that Rogers was out on his arse shortly after SOS arrived at the club.

Touche!! I honestly think this is a win / win. You guys got the guy you wanted and we got the picks we needed for us to let him go.

Exactly, I think we need to get back to talking about the trade and not about if SOS was getting the job at Carlton.

I come in here to see the cat fights about Gibbs

Looks older in a Crows jumper probably only got 1 year left in him.

Yes with a good side the list is more stable , with a very poor side there are more list changes and the value of the picks is where the difference is greatest

As a rough guide if you come bottom you get the 1st pick and 2nd bottom 2nd pick etc etc

Because you guys have improved like you say this year you get the 3rd pick as you didn't come bottom , only 3rd bottom

If your lucky you may get a guy called Cameron Rayner who is a special talent

Now , SOS is a gun and good at what he does but if you end up with Rayner because Brisbane and Freo are worried re go home factor then it doesn't mean that SOS and your recruiting manager is any better than Ogilvie or Reid in this instance just that the comp is designed to help clubs like you guys who have regularly been near bottom of the table recently

I think you're missing it..

The only players Silvagni secured which the crows weren't given access to by way of draft position were SPS and Weitering. Every other player the Crows had access to but chose not to select or trade for.

As an example, the crows could have secured Charlie Curnow, Cuningham and Jack Silvagni but went for Doedee and Milera instead.

The crows could have picked up Fisher, Macreadie, Williamson, Polson or Kerr, but went with Gallucci, Poholk, himmleberg, Signorello and Davis.

Of those players, here are their relative ratings:

Curnow
McKay
Silvagni
Cuningham
Fisher

Milera
Williamson
Macreadie
Gallucci
Polson
Poholk
Himmleberg
Kerr
Signorello
Davis

You think Silvagni is going to be better than Doedee ?

There is no way Silvagni would even have got close to a debut with crows

You're forgetting your blokes play for Carlton and therefore get easy games gifted

Your ratings system is very flawed , doesn't make any sense

Milera would be playing 22 games a year for you guys and be rated 2nd behind Curnow

Curnow is the only one we've missed but he would have asked for a trade back home anyway so it was the right call

Haha I'm still laughing at your talent order list there it's comical to have Fisher Cunningham and Silvagni above Milera

He's yours and he sucks hahahaha, like that? Just joking.

See this is what I want to see in here, good work.

Still looks young enough to win a flag and get to 100 games for the Crows. I’ve heard he has been asking Crows players what is this finals thing you guys are talking about. I thought football season finished at the end of August.

Wasn’t Silvagni a father son? Not sure how the crows would have picked him up

You realise Silvagni averages a goal per game at AFL level and is still a teenager? But I suppose in crows fans eyes that doesn't compete with the all improve 'most intercept marks in the SANFL' stat which you proudly promote

Milera is a pussy and even crows fans know it

With Gibbs gone do you even have anyone older than 19 playing in your team? I think you guys are younger than the first ever GWS team. No wonder those players have got a game

Silvagni would be your highest goal scorer aged under 23 at AFL or SANFL level. That's funny.

Sure you don’t want to add in with the height between 186cm to 192cm and with black hair and weighing under 90kgs.

Yet 2 years ago I believe we had 7 players in the best under 22 players. We are fine thanks

Goals are a pretty common stat for measuring forwards. 22 and under is a common grouping for young players.

Silvagni is the leading scorer in this grouping for the crows at both AFL and SANFL level. Pretty good indicator that Silvagni would be your best young forward by a fair margin.

Good average player

McGovern >>>>>> Silvagni

Really, McGovern is 23 and missed 12 weeks with a hamstring and still kicked more goals than Silvagni.

Silvagni would be 9th on our goal kicking list
