What cost integrity?
I was simply making the point that your list of players who have moved to Hawthorn from other clubs has very little relevance to the current situation, given money wasn't a big motivator for several of them (as shown by the relative contract costs at Hawthorn versus their old club). Yes they moved for a chance at premiership success, and that is one form of advantages currently lower ranked teams don't have. However this advantage tends to rotate around over the long term, although things like COLA abuse makes it harder for that rotation to happen (which is why the closest equivalent was eventually taken off Brisbane).
