I think (unless they get injuries) Sydney will most likely be in the GF, but it looked like it was going to be Geelong a few weeks ago. That's the insanity of this season.I reckon we are playing Sydney in the GF.

Fair, guess we go all in and all out quite quickly around hereIf we lose vs Footscray every thread in here will be calling for JL’s head
Yeah man, a big win into the bye really sets the place up for a crash. Seems we are in "lid off" or "burn the place" with nothing in betweenThis board gets seriously weird after a good win.....
from the last half of the Collingwood game they seem to have fixed a few issuesYeah man, a big win into the bye really sets the place up for a crash. Seems we are in "lid off" or "burn the place" with nothing in between
Stats become very unreliable in a limited sample size though and Melbourne were really really bad. We shouldn't be drawing anything specifically from that gamefrom the last half of the Collingwood game they seem to have fixed a few issues
this was shared in the media thread, but worth listening to
Stone Cold Stats with Mark Stone - Wide World of Sports 6PR
Listen to former AFL Assistant Coach Mark Stone break down last weeks round of football with a focus on our WA teams and what worked and what didn't for the Eagles and Dockers.omny.fm
well, we will know by this time next week - we looked more cohesive and like Stone said, "there were no passengers"Stats become very unreliable in a limited sample size though and Melbourne were really really bad. We shouldn't be drawing anything specifically from that game
Yeah that's more like it, the form over the whole season is worth getting excited about, and the future is worth getting excited about but we do quickly jump from "excited" to playing in a GF on these wins hahawell, we will know by this time next week - we looked more cohesive and like Stone said, "there were no passengers"
we are yet to lose a match in Victoria this year, so we aren't phased by travel - 2 games in Adelaide were close. WCE was just a shocker, and Sydney had its reasons. & and 4 is amazing, especially with our percentage.
yes - and we get 11 home games at Optus
Ah yes the infamous "home" game in Adelaide. Probably had to sacrifice a home game to allow us to play on Adeliade Oval instead of another 2 hour bus ride to the sticks.
We like living on the edge babyYeah man, a big win into the bye really sets the place up for a crash. Seems we are in "lid off" or "burn the place" with nothing in between
I thought that too, bu you can count them on afl.com.au
The Adelaide teams came way with 12 home games, but we did get 11 (like most others) - it just doesn't feel like it
check out some hotels when you are over there, and case some pubs for the GF eve party ha haWe like living on the edge baby

You need to count them again, the Adelaide teams actually get 13 games at home (1 more than pre gather round) and we get 12 as we always have
Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com
12 home games, 11 real home games, 12 home state gamesNormal is 22 games per year, 23 rounds with a bye
This year;
23 rounds + Opening Round + Gather Round (25 rounds)
Of the 22 half are home games (11), then Gather Round is in Adelaide and surrounds.
- Minus 1 normal bye, 1 opening round bye
- Which is the usual 22 games + Gather Round
TLDR; nope 11 home games for us
And we’d lose 8.22 vs 12.3 following Owies kicking one from 70m on the boundary after the sirenWe have no hope of ever beating Carlton in a grand final.
The free kick count would be 84-3 with Curnow and McKay getting 28 frees each.
Am I the only one that gets bad juju from threads like this? Seasons still young, just enjoy the ride ffs, let things fall where they may
Don't have to finish top 2 but you definitely have to win the QF as a WA team (notwithstanding Eagles lost it in 2006 but they didn't have to travel til the PF)For Freo to make the grand final we would have to finish top 2. It's there if the team is consistently good enough.
However our inability to back up a great performance after the byes in recent times has me worried.
Beat the Dogs and its on like Donkey Kong.
