Oakleigh must be travelling much better than everyone thinks if they can allow a kid who kicked 22 goals (out of 32 goals) to run around playing in the Under 19’s against an undermanned opposition. I hear a few a clubs are ready to open their cheque books next season.

do you really think the Seniors are happy he is not playing with them???

Would have only got in the road of Bromley on the weekend. He is a "jet".

There is a good level of disciplne at the Crushers at the moment, and I can see them surviving. Both Banyule and OC will need to be looking over their shoulders for the remaining 6 games.

How far Mazenod?

Who is going to miss the 4? OI, OE, MB or Marcellin.

agree with some on your post but Cloke would not get in the way of Bromley - never hurts having multiple natural goalkickers in the one team - be good to see it over the next few weeks

Whats the go with the Eagles???

  1. They're missing their captain Jake Symes over the last few weeks
  2. They're a skillful side but they looked ragged against Mazenod in the second half in terms of fitness. This has been a trend throughout the year in that when they lose, other teams seem to have run the game out a lot better.
  3. Defensively, opposition key forwards have got hold of them. Perhaps it is personnel, but perhaps it links to fitness and defensive running as a team because they were hurt on turnovers.

What has happened to Symes??
Have they improved from last year?

I understand Symes broke his collarbone or arm but not entiely sure.

Hard to tell if they've improved until finals time. Daniel Jones has certainly added potency for them. The current ladder suggests that Monash and PEGS have passed the Eagles but their best footy could challenge anyone so I wouldn't make any conclusions until finals come around.

For what it's worth Eagles are the disappointment of Premier C, if they sneak into the finals you never know but it seems a couple of teams have gone past them this year.

Reunion of 2003 premiership side today at Monash and then the Nott. Was a great day where Holloway, Smith, Gregory etc put a very good AJAX side to the sword. No doubt some good stories will be told.

Ah, the wonderful Nott - brings back memories from uni days. I hope the Monash boys all raise a glass and toast dear Kath Byer. She was an amazing lady.

Nice and quiet here this week .....

Marcellin vs Banyule
