Gold Coast gave up Ablett, a Round 2 pick (24) and a 2018 Round 4 pick, while the Cats gave up an end of Round 1 pick (19) and a 2018 Round 2 pick.
In effect, Ablett cost the Cats a 2018 Round 2 pick and moved five spots down from 19 to 24, but also received a Round 4 pick next year.
