Roast Can anybody explain what benefits Danyle Pearce brings to the team?

He must be an indigenous cousin to that bitch boofer Pearce in the NRL. And that fella is just as much of a dud in the State of Origin despite being given auto selection in teams like Danyle does in the AFL.

And in our team we have "can't wait to get some more tattoos" Clancee. Again a Pearce whose first name is not spelt properly.

Don't draft Pearces. They are diseased.

Did anyone really expect him to slot that open goal?

I groaned when I saw it was him with the ball. My 8 week old daughter heard me swear. I'm not proud of it and copped a angry mouthful from the missus but far out..... no pressure.

Suban was a long way from the biggest issue last night.
Time for the short pain, we are in rebuilding phase suban is above age 24 and is a slow learner, playing peel will benefit him long term. A team of suban, d.Pearce, Barlow , Mayne,c.pearce ,lee spurr and deboer will hopefully win a flag for peel than end their career with nothing.

To be honest I never rated D Pearce, but he has been reasonable though he is on big $$ and was a free agent so he should be a star. If you look at it all our free agents, gummbelton, Silvia, pearce, it's a dismal failure. I know you have to try some times but you might be better playing younger guys earlier for a later result instead of trying for instant success.

Wasn't the original line of thought that having Danyle Pearce in the team would free up Stephen Hill as you can't tag them both? My opinion is that this thinking is flawed at best. I reckon that Hilly has really gotten to the point where tagging him doesn't really work all the well anymore.

That used to be my thoughts. Quite happy to say I was well and truly wrong and that D.Pearce has become a liability within the team.

He brought some positives to the club (how good was that first goal?) and certainly helped us get close to a flag but his disposal efficiency is killing us and he can't kick goals.

Metres gained is useful. Unless you are turning the ball over after you gain those metres.

He did nothing in the second term. He always goes missing when we are getting beaten and often during those times turns it over when we have an opportunity. He did it again a couple of times in the second that killed potential goals. The kick into fifty he absolutely hacked when we had momentum killed us. He got his 15 touches. He is a 150 game player who adds nothing more than 15 average touches, key turnovers, kicks to the disadvantage side of forwards and blocks and puts pressure on. He is rubbish. I doubt he could get a game anywhere other than melbourne and Essendon.

Not defending the Subaman by any means, but did he have a run with role/shut down role on Gary Ablett last night?

Somebody should have. Gazza was running rampant.

I did, it was piss easy and a decent player nails that. but when i saw it was pearce i wasnt suprised, he has been burning the ball for years.

The sad part is if that went through I reakon Freo win and their season is still alive.

Subtle troll is subtle.

Two games in and our season is over.

Thanks for your input, ****knuckle.

Yeah, right. A "must win". I won't be seeking any further correspondence with a know nothing twit like you.

Don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out, numbnuts.

Pearce had games as bad as the one he played last night and even worse a shitload of times over the last 2 years but because we were winning it was brushed under the carpet and anyone that pointed it out was labelled negative and even a non supporter. I'm sure that there are still some that don't see it but it seems finally some are starting to see the light, just sad that it's taken our team to have two bad losses for it to happen.

Hang on you're the one saying you're still a premiership chance and beating the suns at home isn't a must win in the context of the season when u are 0-1 and have west coast and the roos away the following weeks, not me.

Yes, I am. Jesus, you're quick on the uptake, aren't you?

Makes me wonder why you haven't worked out where the door is yet.

Well I respect your opinion and I hope u r right for Freo's sake.

But my opinion is that defending last nights efforts against the suns at home and players running into open goals at crucial times and missing easy goals is defending mediocrity.
Im also say saying that to win the flag u have to finish top 4 and with west coast and north away coming up last nights game was a must win for freo for them to finish top 4.

and u call me 'know nothing twit and ****knuckle' for that.........lol

No he wasn't, not at all.

Subes did a really good job when u consider who he was running with.
You must have been watching a different game. The only time Ablett didn't do pretty much as he pleased was when he was matched up directly on Fyfe.
