Yes it is, you should try to look some up out of interest. For the record the following players have a better goal/behind ratio than GAS:

Carey

Vickery

J Riewoldt

Hawkins

Kennedy

T Lockett (with a whopping 2.30 highest of the lot I’ve given with Kennedy a distant 2nd at 1.84)

In fact GAS with 1.49 is around the same level as:

Dusty and Richo with 1.45. One is a hybrid mid/fwd and the other is a well known shanker. That’s the level GAS’s accuracy was. It’s just straight facts and people wonder why I’m apparently “trolling”

Other notable players with a surprisingly low ratio are:

GAJ with 1.33

Lethal with 1.26

Both the above 2 players are thought of as such masterful accurate kicks but they actually weren’t and again I cop flak for pointing it out purely because of people’s nostalgia.

Carey was a fantastic player. He was so reliable- I knew every time my team played north that he would show up and make life really difficult for us. Brilliant.
Ablett was something else- haven’t seen another player quite like him. I’d have thought if you’d seen him live you’d understand that. People went to games just to watch him play. I don’t really know of another player who gets that attention. I took my Collingwood supporting nephews to see him play because I knew they would remember it all their lives. And they do! Ablett could do things nobody else could do. He was just extraordinary to watch. Brilliant skills. Unpredictable. Surprising. Tough.
