It’s not even 12 months since your fans were yelling abuse at your own players over the fence.
Carlton need a lot more sustainable success before they’re seriously rated a “good team”.

Do not conflate the actions of a very small minority of Carlton fans to that of the whole fanbase.

Let me rephrase -
It hasn’t even been 12 months since Carlton had won only 5 games by round 15.
You are a good team but you are not a premiership caliber team.
Remind me of Sydney. Top end is ridiculous (Cripps, Wlash, Weitering, Curnow) but a lot of also-rans who get exposed.
GWS next week will be a great test.
Without Taylor, let's see if your forward line can do the job against a legit premiership contender.

Big call to make at round 5.
Think I read somewhere we will have 27 fit players to pick from next week. We are in bad form.
That doesn’t mean our best can’t be good enough at the end of the year. It took us to a prelim last year and we have beaten basically every contender over that period. No one needs to be premier in round 5, in fact that has been a big criticism of Carlton in recent years. Unless they go 23-0 there will always be criticism.

Almost every premiership team has needed a bit of luck with injuries to get there. They have most of their gun players on the park still but I reckon the length of their injury list will really test them out.

We lost because we didn't defend the ground well and especially got no delay on the ball in the midfield. Further to that we were not accurate in front of goal amd the Crows kicked 16.4.

Firstly, he wasn't named to play but injuries force changes. Secondly, he also had 6 clearances an area we have really struggled in. Once again one player is not the reason we lost.

When have I or anyone said that Collingwood can't be considered a good team because they play Cox. Because that is what the poster above has said about Pittonet.

We're a good team but still a few too many holes to win a premiership unfortunately. I think we'll make finals but without a collection of gun small forwards and another key defender we aren't likely to make a grand final let alone win one.
All (or most) Carlton supporters know this so I don't get the pile on from oppo supporters. We have been bad for 20 years - we are generally pretty realistic besides a couple of trolls. Blind Freddy could see the deficiencies in our game. Durdin, Owies and Fantasia had 3 tackles yesterday. Adelaide cut us up as a result. I'm surprised we were in the game and had a chance to win. They took 18 marks in F50 and most were uncontested over the back because of a lack of pressure up the ground.
We are not contenders until we can fix that up.
