This is a really good chat with Doc

Footy Classified, Ed covered the possibility of having a chip in the footy which covers the full trajectory of the ball, covers everything same technology that other sports use like gridiron tennis rugby…
Does look like it will actually take out alot of the guess work from the final decisions, looked promising…

goals
points
shaves the post
boundary line in or out

In response to some commentary on here regarding Carlton's 'slow boring boundary style' - evidenced in week 1....

Go to minute 23 and look at the facts on how Collingwood actually play - might surprise a few people on here to see how slow they are transitioning from defense to forward 50 18th in the competition averaging 28 seconds end to end V Suns for example 16 seconds. Collingwood are selective when to pull the trigger - same game style as the better teams employ.

Tempo footy isn't just about phases in the game, it can be in every chain

They use an extra mid forward and back. Have very good users by foot, where they dissect you hitting up short and longer targets.

They don't "officially" play on after a mark, but handball over the top/forward. Mantra is to create the +1 forward of the ball

Their forwards sit deeper, so they have more space to lead into and or the kicker having a greater margin/space to minimise turnover kicks

I've dropped 'tempo' and instead use 'best option' - yep they play their extra mids as extra mids all over the place because they have the runner to do so...but I was surprised to here that they were the slowest ball moving from defensive arc to forward arc team on the competition - because so many on here have got excited about Collingwood's 'fast ball movement'

30 seconds on us winning on The Footy Show, followed by 10 minutes of sooking by Kane about the free kick. Media are genuinely scared that we might be good.
No mention of how we dominated territory? Smashed them in the middle? Had 10 more scoring shots? Classic Kane. This’ll be all we’ll hear from him when talking about Carlton on SEN this week 😭

What does that even mean? The media is scared? You say it as though it is one entity. The media is scared that Carlton might be good? Why? Scared of what? A primary schooler has more insight.

Media might hate us but they love money a lot more. We generate clicks, thus we generate revenue. Ain't no secret agenda against us to not include us in any stories, we just played a crap brand vs a crap team at a crap ground. As most of the fans in here said in the autopsy thread, burn the tapes and never mention it again. Looks like they watched the same game as us.

Unsurprisingly only mention of our game on first crack was about the decision.. can expect this to be rinse and repeat across the remainder of the Monday night shows.
To be fair, it was a shit game that many here have identified as bog ordinary. Other than the dodgy decision, there wasnt/isn't much to talk about.
