Big love fests over the Blues in the media, and quite frankly I can’t get enough of it !! now flag faves apparently, however lots can happen, ie injuries to a few key players could derail the whole thing, so yes i am beyond excited about where we are at..and fingers crossed we can keep it up no injuries and full steam ahead to September. Bring it on baby !! :carlton: :carlton: :carlton:

Potential more positive angles he could have run with:
"Carlton beat Richmond while resting best player"
"Carlton consolidate 2nd spot on the ladder"
"Carlton's biggest win over Richmond in 13 years"

Instead we find a the only negative slant available - if Carlton don't win a premiership in 2 years they're failures.
Too much Lewis talk.
Shhhh.
Hush.

Apparently we're not in the premiership window...

Because the points against and points for says so...

These geniuses have come up with a premiership window and based it on... percentage

Zero context, disregard injuries and fixture... what a ****en circus...

Nah, it’s actually based on points for and against over the season.

Whether it’s luck or whatever, it’s actually very accurate.

Let’s just stay under the radar though, they’ve all forgotten (or have chosen to ignore) just how decimated we were earlier in the season especially in the backline

Bit disingenuous.

He did say we'll be well into that area by round 20. Which is the next time they show that stat.

More than happy to be disregarded by everyone on our path to 17 and beyond.

Crippa on AFL360 asked his opinion on footage of some recent examples of the interpretations of prior opportunity and incorrect disposal rules….
Summed things up absolutely perfectly, simple commonsense…
Crippa even asked them to show a couple of times that Matt Kennedy was penalised where one hand was pinned and it would have been dangerous if Matt had tried to dispose of it.

He spoke very well. His argument was that the one hand and legs pinned (like Ridleys last week) shouldn't be holding the ball whereas having had prior and attempting but missing a disposal (like Stewart's last week) should be paid.

Gotta say I've heard him speak a few times and this was by far his best appearance. Seemed comfortable and had Gerard, Robbo, and Jeremy Howe agreeing with everything that he said.

Sydney are miles out in front, but interestingly, in the past 34 seasons (from 1990), the minor premier has only won the flag 12 times (although 3 from 3 in the past 3 years).
You're almost twice as likely to finish either runner up or 3rd (22 times) if you end the season on top of the ladder.
Swans can keep the favourite status as far as I'm concerned.

Interesting paragraph from the drug supporting journalist Connolly:
“Last year, it was a first finals appearance for a decade. Then a first preliminary final for nearly a quarter of a century. Now it's second spot on the ladder and back-to-back 10-goals-plus victories for the first time since early in 2012.”

He is of course referring to rounds 2 and 3 of that season - then next minute in round 4 a team we had beaten by nearly 11 goals in the elimination final of 2011 somehow managed to beat us by 5 goals 6 months later.

Wonder how that happened?
