that was the original point anyway. with celebrities and the like catching on to it, they donate a whole heap more.

If this was the case then it's poor they choose to do the bucket rather than donate.

I'm all for donating or not donating because let's face it you can't give money to every charity. It's the praise and glory piled towards people for taking part in an activity that doesn't actually do anything.

Like when you see a celebrity on TV asking you to donate to a cause that they don't themselves even though they have a lot more money to spare than you.
