Huh ? Relevance is P Dow was a top 10 bust. So we're the 2 Collingwood players.
Yep it's true Worm. As you rightly point out there is a good chance that any top 10 draft pick will turn out to be a bust. Thats why if your club had half a brain they would've taken Houston instead of a punt on a kid. Good to see you agree with us on this now👍.
I mean, let's face it, Carlton being Carlton, there's a better than average chance you'll screw it up. Probably at best you guys have the no4 pick and end up with someone as bog average as Bryce Squibs for example. That'd suck!

talk about tortured ...nuffery.

At Sydney University the Mathematics Department IS part of the School of Philosophy - logical positivism has NOTHING to do with basic numeracy - basic numeracy is a given.

There was no attempt by Arr0w to be ambiguous - no use of "might" and "if this" and "that" and "the other thing" tossed in with 50 insults per sentence which is Fudgey's style - just a simple statement - and in jumping in to be the typical smart ass Fudgey is - all he did was reveal his "stoopid" ( again) and was called out for it ( again)

As for your self serving and lame chest puffery - no need to pretend ther was any error in teh expression - because there wasn't:

Arr0w predicts that both teams will finish between 5th and 8th in 2025 and that Carlton will finish higher - given the FACT that percentage differences exist to split the difference if teams finish on the same H&A points..again a given in any discussion ( except with you flogs regarding 2024) - I have to ask the obvious :

are you as nuffie as fudgey ?

"Between 5 and 8" that means 6 or 7.

Comedy fold from our Blue friends. Keep 'em coming. What else you got?

It's the term for being BETTER in a given season than Carlton have been in any season over the past quarter of a century.

It's like falling in love... when it happens, you'll know.
Its a term that really no one cares about apart from you and your merry men.
It's like Collingwood between 1959- 1989 let's make up a word for our supporters to feel good about themselves even though we lost 8 grand finals. No one cares.

You've never heard anyone use the term 'contender' before?

Though I fully understand why Carlton supporters want to ignore the fact the word exists.

Jeepers.

So many high draft picks have been mentioned that haven't lived up to the hype.

Lots of pressure on Pick 4, 2024.
Yep Worm makes a compelling case that Carlton have stuffed up going the draft route rather than taking the known dual AA gun who wanted to come to them.
Can't argue with his logic.

There you go again - referring back to old crap.
How's 2025 looking ?
Great for Collingwood - objective improvement in our list and recent premiership winners.

Not so good for Carlton, whose list has gone backwards despite continually falling well short of premiership contention in recent years.

Any other questions?

Again, you thinking our list is going backwards.
What new inventive thing are you going to come up with when they finish above your sorry lot ?

I don't sit there thinking that Carlton contended in 1980 for the flag, or 1986 , or 1999 and have figures in my head about how many times it has happened coz quite frankly, once the season is over, I don't and dwell about it.
Contend away , whatever floats your boat

Gee, those 3 years you referenced are a long time ago... surely you can reference some more recent years?

Surely?

Just a reminder they paid 800k a year to a bloke who averaged 18 touches a game last year.

This is a Zac Williams 2.0 deal.

We also rejected Houston, so they're paying another 800k for a bloke who didn't even want to be there.

1.6 mill for blokes who will take them to 10th.

Can't wait for 2025.

It's all about 'disposal averages' for the Carlton folk, nothing about their role in the team.

Pies were into Perryman for a long time, they're clearly confident in what he can bring to the team.

And if teams are willing to look beyond a dual AA player in the prime of their careers, we're willing to go sloppy seconds every day of the week.

It's like when you're out with a mate and Miranda Kerr is all over him, but he has a preference for voluptuous women, so you're able to cash in.

Meanwhile at Carlton it's : "well if we have no injuries and pick 4 is another Nick Daicos and our spud small forwards suddenly stop being spuds, then we could get better. Oh and don't forget our big acquisition Nick Haynes" Get excited people!

What a pathetic analogy
