8th - Carlton - 52 points
9th - Collingwood- 52 points

Carlton - knocked out 1st week of finals easily
Collingwood - 2-0 head to head with Carlton

I know they finish higher in the record books, but I would prefer our season. Not saying much though, as both seasons were fails for both of the clubs.

The old “ThReE fLaGs In 70 YeArS’ myth rears its ugly head again.

It’s 4 flags in 66 years, or 5 flags in 71 years.

1953, 1958, 1990, 2010, 2023. Carlton supporters need to learn to count properly.
That should have said almost seventy years my bad!

Berry gone down like a bag of fairy floss there. Must have learnt it from Choccie Neale the flop specialist. Charged into Newman like he was heading into war then dropped to the floor like he'd been taken out like a 50.cal rifle

Choc didn’t realise that Newman knew his judo and went straight for the throat. Has juddy been taking training sessions?

Three flags in seventy years, 1915, 1938, 1970, 1979 and 1981, losing a grand final to St Kilda, and their so called "all mighty team" finishing below an injury ridden Carlton team this year.

It was well worth denying them a finals spot, the facts are that finishing above Collingwood is a premiership in itself to Carlton.

I won't shy away from this fight i won't back down, Collingwood are a bigger joke of a club than Carlton!

It will take more than a replay win against St Kilda, and a corrupt umpiring influenced flag win to convince me otherwise!
You keep telling yourself that...

You might actually start to believe it!

6 page wankfest over the past few hours . Oh boy. Can we bag collingwoods performance this weekend ? No. Not sure of the relevance of posters coming in the gloat in this thread when their own side isn't even playing.
Each to their own I suppose.
Anyway I'm off to the good old USA to do the route 66 experience and will return after the melb cup. Hopefully the pies have improved by then coz their season was pretty shit let's be honest. Carltons not much better

Enjoy your trip. Have fun and travel safe.

I missed the game last night, but is it really true that Brisbane had 9 goals 5 behinds on the board before Carlton kicked their first score?

Oh my.

Edit: Actually just realised it was 9.6. Wowee!

Nearly as bad as Collingwood’s finals effort at the same venue in 2020.

Yep, that was a pretty Grim night.

But isn't it disappointing for you that you continually have to go down the path of 'I might have only gotten 25% in my maths test, but Bill got 20%'?

Yet this injury ridden Carlton team finished above your so called we're embarking on a dynasty team this year!

Although i did say the following on our board after the Richmond game last June, it feels like i'm sitting on a train right now and that trains final destination is the MCG at the end of September.

Instead it was the Gabba in early September, but i honestly didn't see this series of events coming and unfolding the way they did at all!

Still though with a full stack of players and some adjustments to the playing list and coaching panel in the off season, then we can still give you a reason to cry us a river of tears in 2025.

On cue.... 'Next Year'!

And as for that train you saw in June after the Richmond win?

The Carlton team were hit by it...

Champion data released a best 23 out with injury ladder last week. Richmond had the most games experience out and was ranked last. Brisbane and Carlton were basically neck and neck at 17 and 16.

I think the blues need to talk about injuries less otherwise it all becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

I live in a world of disappointment following this club.

It’d be a pretty grim banter thread without, you know, banter.

Oh well, at least you finished above us on percentage. A mighty effort.
Maybe the club will bring out some commemorative t- shirts to mark this auspicious occasion, with "We finished higher than The Pies '24" emblazoned on the front.
They could even be personally signed by Crazy Vossy and FLAGLESS Cripper.
I reckon they'd sell like hotcakes, because we all know, it's been 29 loooong seasons since you've been able to buy any actual PREMIERSHIP merchandise. Unless, of course, you count all that June Premiership merch you all bought.

Meanwhile, I'm going to take the marketing opportunity and release t-shirts and coffee mugs with 31% printed on them, targeting non-Carlton supporters.

How do you reckon I'll go?
