Aaaaaaaand it is all over, done before midnight.

All clubs couldn’t believe the player was still there at their pick and all players stoked to be on a list. Situation normal

fu**, Winder gone

WTF would we pass and miss out on Winder, Ginnivan, Ford, Kola, Walsh, Wehr.

For hacks Oscar McDonald average at best or Jackson Trengrove couldn't even get a game for for the dogs who were screaming out for a KPD and Ruck.

it’s bloody stupid
Ease up. Still have tomorrow night, SSP and mid season draft to bolster list.

We had 4 in total, 2 of which had to be senior.
So we still have 2 spots left, I'm going to guess we use 1 rookie pick and leave a spot open for another rookie.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the benefit of picking a player in the rookie draft as opposed to the national draft? If we have a pick and spot available, why not use it tonight?
Is it due to the contract the player gets? Or the fact that we can have a certain amount of rookies that don’t count towards the list?
Either way, I’m interested to see if we go for a Walsh, or keep the spot open for a DFA.

Rookie list means 80 thousand off the Cap I think.

Because... they don’t rate them?

I mean I’m sure it’s not to spite the fans.

A rookie gets $80k not included in our salary cap, plus it's only a 1 year commitment rather than 2.
And it seems we want to leave a spot (or 2) open for supplementary periods.

Kept a spot vacant for Callum Moore to fill tomorrow.
I hope you are joking.

It def takes the gloss off Carrol that we took Durdin first.

It's a bit like how Sienfeld was dating that chick that Newman dumped.

I can't believe we passed on Ginnivan and gave up the opportunity for this:

Plus if he kicks the winning goal, you can chant
"YOU'RE GOING HOME IN THE BACK OF A GINNIVAN!"

*clap, clap, clap-clap-clap, clap-clap-clap-clap, clap-clap*
