Poor deal for the average punter if you ask me considering that General Admission tickets are about the same price. The tickets are pretty lousy too - Level 3 at Etihad is a complete waste of time and im not sure what the MCG equivalent is but its most likely on the verge of outer space.

I'd love to be able to support the club but once again their membership packages don't quite hit the mark. I know that im not the majority but ive got an MCC Membership for unrestricted MCG access. I'd love a good Etihad upgrade package, but not a couple of dodgy non-guaranteed general admission tickets in the nosebleed section. Where is the Premium MCC Upgrade Membership, with a reserved L1/2 seat at all Carlton games at Etihad? I'd be prepared to pay up to $350, and unlike most members, having rights to purchase a Grand Final ticket is not an issue.

Right now I can get Level 2 Reserved seats for just $29 with my MCC card and until the club can at least get close to something like this, or offer a membership pack with something of worth (eg. Hawthorn Loyalty Scarf) I'll continue to avoid getting one.

Guess you won't be at Visy on Friday cause the range of imported gin in the bar is unsatisfactory. But "you'd love to support the club". Your type really is beyond the pale.

It's not really value considering a concession 17 game silver membership package is about $70 more. Is there a concession price? Interesting concept which would allow certain supporters access to finals tickets.

Completely agree, Carlton are a club with a very high % of MCC members. Many of whom do not get a membership with the blues as there is just no value.

An Etihad Stadium membership should definately be looked at by Carlton! Ever considered emailing the club? cant hurt!

For what its worth, I am and always have been a member!

.

Why are you so critical of level 3 at Etihad?
I have had reserved seating on Level 3 last year as well as this year and I have been more than happy with it - yeah fair enough its no level 2 on the wing but I'm pretty much on the ledge at level 3 on the wind and it suits me just fine. Each to their own I suppose

I just bought the long distance membership this year which is entry to five games. Living in Sydney I will probably get down to the capital of mexico once this year to watch the blues and will want the best seats so I will probably purchase premium tickets and not even use it.

For me the membership is about supporting the club that gives me such great pleasure (and angst) following. It doesn’t make financial sense to buy the membership at all, and the very fashionable navy black  hat will just sit in my drawer for the next 50 years, but it helps out my club. I can afford the $117 it cost at the moment so don’t mind paying it, I feel good doing it, and empowered that I am part of the greatest football club in the world.

Small price to pay to support the club...perfect for someone like me that buys a memebership year in and year out but can't make the games cause of work. Membership is about being apart of the club not how much it cost you to go the games

I have MCC membership as well as Captains Club Standard Gold (incl reserved seating at MCG & Etihad) & have been a Social Club member since the 70's & an MCC member since the late 80's.

I will always support my club & am very proud to be part of it, but will never surrender my MCC membership even if it costs me over $1000 a year to have both :)

The $80 m/ship the club is offering is perfect for someone who can only attend a few games and all the monies go to the club.

I am pretty sure that I read somewhere that this type of m/ship also gets included in our overall m/ship tally.

I'd be surprised, A-Girl.

Just found this on the CFC website T.

It is counted ;)

As an added bonus, you also get a Navy-Black cap as well :p

The Silver 3 game membership is best suited to members who can't get to many games throughout the season. You are counted as an official member of the Club and receive a member kit and finals privileges as listed above. This category allows general admission entry to any 3 Carlton home games only

Of course it goes to the official tally, how do you think Hawthorn recorded such a high figure last season!!

They have a 3 game Tasmanian membership for something like 50 bucks, so even if you went for saints/port or someone they played it was worth it. Get the hawks membership, go to your game and one other.

The Club intorduced a package this year that was for AFL members. It cost $110 and you get a reserved seat for the 6 games at etihad stadium. Thought that was an awesome idea! :thumbsu:

For all you MCC toffs that are happy to pay upto $600, why dont you get/join the Blue Coterie? Or the Carltonians? $160 per adult per game, that includes Premium level 2 seating, gourmet food, free soft drink and drinks are at bar prices! 3/6 at etihad have this option this year, so put your money where your mouth is and buy them!

sick and tired of hearing people's excuses for not joining the club!
