Richmond board member or the BF board?

I'm not saying that it's not 1.2m but until you have a direct source its just a made up.

We have no idea if Richmond is paying some of his contract or if the contract was back loaded.

If the contract is back loaded and he extends it with Fremantle, then it might be less than 1.2m per year. But I'm just pulling it out of my cake hole.

Under the new CBA 1.2 isn't that bad.

It's like 800-900 under the old CBA, which for Bolton is about value.

That's what his contract was apparently for the last years of his old contract. I got the info from the Richmond board.

I doubt he took a pay cut to move clubs .
Players dont take pay cuts when they have multiple clubs chasing them , Why should they
Eagles did have an interest in bolton and signing his last deal at Richmond was big with Dusty & Lynch coming off their deals the tigers seen Bolton as the player to get the big $$$
$1.2 sounds about right and Richmond refused to pay any of Rioli & Boltons salaries in the trade

He had the contract extended a year. So 1.2 million a year over 4 equals 4.8 million. That 4.8 million at 1.2 is now 4.8 at 960k.

Still a big pay check but not as much especially with the cap increasing significantly in 2026.

It is Sydney that do have to accept the trade you realise?

The Swans don't usually drive a hard bargain, but they are going to ensure they receive picks they would be using.

Plus they would be trying to get fair value on a player who would be considered in the top 20 odd players in the league and isn't even 24 yet
Sometimes you just have to accept less to get the trade done .

We found that out with Tom barrass last season and he was contracted .

Maybe you will just have to choose not to take your academy players

It is WC's concern if they want a player from said team.

Dumb to suggest that the Swans needs and wants in regards to the draft won't be considered. Especially by the swans who I assume are a part of the trade here...

And who on earth is a top 5 academy prospect from the swans. First I have heard or seen that rating.
If warner chooses west coast and our offer is better than any rivals then what ?

We have no obligation to try and find a higher pick because of your academy

This is bullcrap . Bolton didn't take a pay cut . You added another year but I'm sure he gets his 1.2mil for the next 4 years and what ever freo gave him in his extra year

Like he would add an extra year for free 🤣

You mean

I like it how having top rated swans academy players is seen as such a burden. A burden that west coast has to make better.

It's moot point, we don't have a top 5 pick next year.

But also there would be no way the Swans would accept a trade without a top 5 selection being part of it.

You don't have to find one for our academy.

But you would have one if Sydney decide they want more value out of the trade.

So your claiming he took a $250k pay cut

would you have a link to that claim

Warner isn't contracted after next season .

You cant keep him without him signing a new contract

You are talking like you can just say no which isn't the case

Luke Jackson was OOC when that trade was done, and Freo gave up a 1st, a F1 and F2
At the time freo gave up pick 13 + f1 + f2 for Jackson + 44 + 67

At the time it was assumed the value of the f1 and f2 would have been the same as the previous year so 13 + 33

So 13 + 13 + 33 for Jackson + 44 + 67

Melbourne got lucky and freo stunk it up the following year .

If I remember Melbourne demanded a top 10 pick but it didn't happen

Prove it .
It sounds ridiculous that he would change clubs and take a pay cut in the prime of his career .

He wanted to head home

I don't have a copy of the contract and neither do you. A mate of mine who has been posting on here for many years is mates with a Freo official and he mentioned to him that they have smoothed the contract over 5 years. Richmond aren't part paying the contract either.

Look into it as you will and I don't really care if you don't believe me

So a guy on the internet has a mate that is a freo official told you .

Sounds legit 🤣

FRE gave pick 13, pick 13, pick 31 and received pick 44 and 67 which equated to 2600 points or pick 2.
I offer Hawks 1st(pick9-12), and WC 2nd(pick 22) and F2nd(pick 23) equating to 3200 points or pick 1 with a bonus 200 points or mid 3rd round value?
Deal?
