I dont do this lightly. I was one of the 13,000. I've missed less than 10 home games in the past 18 years, through work, sickness or holidays. I shelled out for every home final. I went to the 2004 Grand Final, when I couldn't really afford to.

But the club DOES NOT get to trade our best player, who doesn't even want to go, and then reach into my bank account the next day.

Guys, remember to wait until the end of the trade period and judge it as a hole.

I’ve heard of other possible changes to the board based on not being tough enough as a club too. Won’t mention here though.

The board made the choices. Not sure how only a couple could be accountable in those choices

Once chad chose hawthorn we were in trouble as they didnt have the high pick like the bulldogs or saints. I wonder if chad chose the hawks to stick it up to the port admin knowing a good deal would be tough for us. I have been told that if chad was going to be traded to a vic club he didnt really care where as long as the money was right. I didnt want to lose chad but if footy isnt his main passion like some people say maybe even hawthorn wont get the best out of him even with clarko as coach

Well that’s their problem not ours...we’ll it should be.

Don’t bend over and take what they want to give us. Tell them find a way to then 15 into 3, 4 or 5 becouse 15 and Burton isn’t good enough.

Good clubs don’t let stars walk for crap deals like what we are looking like taking.

Self-harm is not ruthless. It is just self-harm.

"Hey honey, I think we should move the furniture around and maybe think about landscaping the front. idk I'll leave it with you, but this place could do with a change."

*wife comes home from work to find house ablaze with husband standing in the street with a petrol can in his hand*

"What the f*** have you done?!"

- "OMG YOU SAID YOU WANTED CHANGE. NEVER HAPPY FFS"

So they say

Davies OS, along with Hinkley and Voss on some sort of self-improvement course. Throw in KT being on holidays too and if you're cynical enough you could make a case for all being away to diminish responsibility for what's unfolding.

After all, Trade and Draft time is probably the second most important part of a footy year apart from the season itself yet most of our footy department are not present.

Almost like it was planned that way.

I’ve done the same thing!

The losers making this decision aren't "the club". We here are the club. Chad Wingard and all of the memories he has blessed us with is the club. They are temporary employees passing through who will never achieve anything and be forgotten one minute after they walk out the door.

We're not the club either. The club is timeless. We are all in our own way temporary custodians of its rich history and traditions and we all contribute in different ways. The moments of brilliance from individual players are threads of the tapestry of the club.

We'll probably throw in Amon and Clarkson will turn him into a star. No more having to bust your guts
in and under to please Ken, Karl will be out in the open playing his role in bruise free footy.
Despite his OOB efforts last time Clarko will have him hitting targets and enjoying life again.

Meanwhile head office and Kern are nowhere to be seen. We're a farken joke
and a black one at that.

We wanted the club to be ruthless.
We had had enough.
But maybe we wanted the club to be ruthless in only little ways lol.
But Hawks of all teams, oh boy.
There's a difference between ruthless and recklessly stupid.

We could've kept Wingard (ie our most talented player) and still had 4 top 30 picks this year. Hell, we could've held our nerve on the Polec trade and got more. There was the currency to trade up in the draft if we wanted to without trading Chad.

Yet here we are, pushing a 2XAA, BF winning local who loves the club, only to get lesser value then Steven ****ing May and a similar deal to the lesser McGovern. Because of video games, training, tattoos, hair flicks or whatever else bullshit reasons they've concocted. Forgetting that on putting him into the midfield mid season that he was our best mid, 3rd in the best fairest from that time, and would've been in AA contention had we started hin in there all year.

So who wants to tell the legion of 30+yr old players we have that we're torching the list and probably robbing them of a last crack at some kind of on field success.

But you know, look at Sammy Gray training the house down!
