It was Chelsea's merit we simply couldn't pass the ball forward since their whole team closed down the danger area.

Our defense was poor, I'll give you that. Without Pique and Abidal there's not that much left there really. But a large part of our defending itself is the whole team putting pressure and Busquets vacuuming in midfield, and usually we do that well. Chelsea didn't create that many chances, did they? Even at Stamford Bridge. That is the merit of having possession and defending with the whole team far up the field.

I cannot see how this is cowardly, but can imagine it's boring to look at. But then why not blame Chelsea for parking the bus? That contributed way more to making it a boring spectacle. Not that I blame them though, they obviously have every right to do that.

bayern have 6 or 7 players a yellow away from missing the final if they make it. gustavo will miss after his booking earlier. but maybe it should be increased to 3, or get rid of the rule altogether.
