Hard to be that version with the goal songs!

Feels weird hearing them when we are well behind in the game and the crowd is a bit meh.

But i won’t bother trying to be a wowser - my young nephews love them and clearly they’re here to stay for a while
Love singing and the whole show of the post try songs, but this year kind of feel like yeah , getting a little over it.

Charlie got a week .Toby Greene cleared for an identical tackle.Nothing like consistency

With Charlie's suspension do we just bring McKenna (if fit) back in, keep Answerth and move Zorko back into the fwds. I'm all good with giving McKenna as much time to get 100% but we have this propensity to bring players back as soon as possible. This move keeps the defensive aggression Answerth has brought.

Otherwise I'm good with Tunstill getting a game and Dev or Prior into the sub role. Sharp has been mentioned but I want to see consistent big numbers or some game changing/winning form. Good kid, yes. Great runner, yes. But I think we're past giving kids a run on potential or trial. They have to press for a spot thru form now. Same goes for Henry Smith, Lane, and the other untried fringe players.

Listening to Christian on SEN, Charlie isn’t getting off his suspension.

The grading has little to do with the impact, with the most emphasis on whether the offender allowed the other player to protect himself.

If Charlie had let go of Lever’s arm, so Lever could cushion being taken to ground, then he would have shown a duty of care and not been charged.

Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just paraphrasing what Christian explained this morning.

Expecting Geelong...a team who literally has not played ONE SERIOUS CONTENDER!! in five rounds of football...to be delivered one nasty reality check by the mighty Lions.

While I think it’s worth challenging, I think it’s a coin flip. Wouldn’t be surprised if the original decision is upheld.

No doubt the AFL has been inconsistent though, letting off other similar tackles.

Lever did have an arm free, I thought that was taken into consideration.

All they need to show is footage of the Vlaustin throw tackle which only incurred a fine, if anything I thought that one was worse than Charlie's.

I think Im here with it. I sort of think this should be a suspension but am confused on why some are or arent punished. Probably makes sense to challenge in the circumstances

We need to downgrade the impact to minor or even insufficient.
Especially considering Lever should have won an Academy award for playing for the free.

Even if they aren’t identical, Andrews head clearly bounced off the ground in the tackle which could have caused damage unlike Lever whose shoulder hit the ground and he threw his head toward the ground not due to Charlie’s tackle. I get the acts are different but one players hit the ground whereas the others didn’t and we’re suspending the players tackle that didn’t cause the opposition players head to hit the ground.

That sounds like typical AFL reasoning.

Just spoke to friends in Geelong who are very confident, especially as Danger will play. I played it cool and said ok whatever you think. They didn't ask me what I thought. In case you're wondering, the Lions are going to bring the cats back down to Earth.

The one thing that has me slightly concerned about the Geelong game is that we reached a peak performance level last week , in fact our best performance in a H/A game for a long time imo ,and clubs who do that historically have a let down.

Our W/L record is still ordinary for the year so hopefully that keeps the team still on full alert and ready for this game.

Having lost 2 games at home this year the team will be highly motivated to get the season started on the home deck.
I get the feeling after the slow start to the year, that the message is all about going out there and having fun and enjoying your footy again. To take a bit of pressure off and that has worked wonders so far.
I feel we will get the job done and done well.

So much for me going into the games with no expectation🤔 the team shot that one in the foot by playing so well against Melbourne.

I still have no expectation. 6 of Thursday night, half a dozen of the mob who wandered around aimlessly against Freo 🤷
