Agree next weeks crowd won’t be as big as Semis are always lower than QF and PF but come on that was a massive Melbourne sided crowd last night. It was mentioned on radio during the week that the Swans didn’t sell as much tickets as expected during the Membership allocation which is why the predicted 80k crowd was so impressive.

Last nights 78k was the Swans biggest non grand final crowd since Melbourne vs Sydney semi in 1987 where 80k went. Those 2 games are their biggest non grand final crowds the swans have played in front since moving to Sydney. And only one other crowd as South Melbourne beats those.

Swans non grand final MCG finals crowds since 1987:
2022 QF vs Melbourne 78k
2017 SF vs Geelong 55k
2016 PF vs Geelong 71k
2013 QF vs Hawthorn 59k
2011 SF vs Hawthorn 55k
2010 SF vs Bulldogs 39k
2008 SF vs Bulldogs 42k
2007 EF vs Collingwood 64k
2005 PF vs St Kilda 73k
2004 SF vs St Kilda 50k
1999 QF vs Essendon 57k
1997 QF vs Bulldogs 62k
1987 SF vs Melbourne 80k

You really think Swans had half the crowd last night? You really think 39k Swans fans decided to attend this years final but not others?
****ing lol at the suggestion that there were more Swans fans than Dees fans. Only maybe three bays (inc cheer squad and Swans members allocation) that were majority Sydney.

It was honestly one of the most one sided BIG Dees crowds I've ever seen. When the Swans scored goals in the last quarter, I'd look around the whole ground and there were really just a few bays of Swans supporters going off their chops, the rest of the stadium were all dead eyed Dees fans.
Of course they were louder though, we had absolutely nothing to cheer in that last quarter

Yeah. Was a sea of navy blue, you could tell where the Swans fans were from the white. Very Melbourne heavy crowd.

It lets Gawn spend more time up forward so our mids can continuously bomb the ball in his general direction.

And if he happens to clunk the mark he can then kick it out on the full!
I needed a react emoji that was both laughing and sad at the same time, because it’s funny and sadly true.

Although you could’ve enhanced by saying Gawn would first pause for dramatic effect, very deliberately commence his approach to goal, and then kick out on the full.

Bowey should have been in this team to begin with. Salem has had 1 good week and many poor ones.

We all know Goody won't make wholesale changes but it would be good to send a message to people who are down on form/ lazy that finals berths aren't gifted. E.g ANB.
Yep, would love it if Goody made a statement by dropping a player & for them to come out & say 'I hate Goodwins guts.' Derek Kickett/Sheedy style.

Salem was really good in the 1st quarter. Once Sydney went to him we had no answers getting the ball out cleanly, plus he handled the tag terribly. I’d rather have him and Bowey both in and sacrifice ANB given Harmes played half back all night anyway.

Not opposed to this. Play Bowey half back and Salem on the wing? Or both half back and Brayshaw to the wing? Who even played on that wing last night?

They won’t drop Melksham. His finishing was poor but he still had three shots on goal and a goal assist from five touches, plus a few more score involvements. Unfortunately that’s pretty good for our forward line.

Tbh I doubt they drop ANB either. But I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing Bedford or TMac come in for one of them, if it’s Bowey for Harmes.

Out: Petracca

He has a fractured leg and we're committed to him for 7 years on big coin. Maybe I am risk adverse, but I wouldn't want to chance aggravating the injury further and ****ing the club's future.

Sometimes you need to look beyond 'next week'.

Hopefully we don't risk Trac. He was garbage last night and we're good enough to beat the Lions without him.
Yeah he was ****ing shit after that injury. I was pretty dirty that they didn’t sub him. He tried hard but was clearly cooked.

Playing Petracca injured is a massive mistake, his explosiveness out of packs is his key strength, without that he's nowhere near as good, plus you can't put him forward because he's a horrible kick for goal.

Sounds like they'll probably play him, reckon it'll be no change, Melk was crap but at least had a few opportunities at goal.

Bowser has to come in, Hunt can **** off, Salem can **** off... take your pick.

Melksham probably stays to play on Andrews again. But he should **** off as well after that. Id rather give Smith a crack at the same role. Cant be any worse of s set shot than Melk is and might pluck a few grabs when we bomb it deep in the pocket too.

The way Goody spoke in his presser doesn't sound like Brown will be dropped, sad times, so can only assume JVR is an emergency again, fantastic , why bother naming him an emergency if youre never going to use him you dickhead, literally nothing to lose right now, could be the ace our sleeve to actually make us look a tad better. We've tried every other ****** KPF on the list give the ****ing kid a go.
