If the players and coaches had the defeatist attitudes of half a dozen posters on here we wouldn’t bother turning up today.I'm nearly as optimistic as you are. I still thought we'd win the flag last year until we shat the bed vs. Sydney!

Can confirm he is in the 22I'm hoping Long starts tomorrow night. He looks like the biggest improver from last year to me. But then again, I've been wrong before
What are you not disturbed about? The slipping over and deep gouges in the surface of the G the past two nights has been disturbing. It might look pretty but that surface seems more like a skating rink than a footy field the way players are slipping and sliding.
It's just humidity. The slipping over and deep gouges in the surface of the G the past two nights has been disturbing. It might look pretty but that surface seems more like a skating rink than a footy field the way players are slipping and sliding.
What little I've seen of Ned Long suggests to me that he lacks the confidence to go with the first option, and hesitates as a consequence.Things like soft or lazy get thrown around too much. Often it's that the bloke is slow to think and react and does so hesitantly, which is often worse - how do you overcome that?
I was thinking the same thing. If the players and coaches had the defeatist attitudes of half a dozen posters on here we wouldn’t bother turning up today.
I think I saw an improvement in those areas last week. He also looked quicker off the mark. I really believe he might be our biggest improver from last year. However, it might just be that my eyesight is slowing down and I more than likely don't know what I'm talking aboutWhat little I've seen of Ned Long suggests to me that he lacks the confidence to go with the first option, and hesitates as a consequence.
Tackling is his strength so far, but, if he can apply the same approach to the ball, he could be a good player.
See ball, grab ball, get ball to Nick.
Agree - Frampton at his best will be needed in some games. But he switches off to much, once he fixes that, Reeef will be under challenge.Watching the Hawks and imagining Reef picking up Chol or Lewis when he returns is a frightening prospect. Even Darcy and Naughton are going to be a big handful. Seeing Frampton in the VFL looking so assured and getting a fist to the high balls with ease made me wince.
Definitely!!!!.Yes, I obviously missed the game when Lipinski earned some credits. My bad.

If we're frightened by Chol and a bloke still overcoming an ACL, we shouldn't bother turning up and just hide under the bed.Watching the Hawks and imagining Reef picking up Chol or Lewis when he returns is a frightening prospect. Really? Lipinski has credits and trust with the whole group, having been established in the team and its structure for a few years. Why is the youngster being held to a higher standard than the veteran? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
I put it to you that dropping Lipinski would send a much clearer message to the whole team about effort expectations than dropping Allan.

Can't wait to see us slipping over every few minutes as well tonight.
Lipinski wouldn't get a game with most other clubs. If he was on the open market, the only clubs that might look at him are the cellar dwellers. Allen would have have many more suitors.Really? Returning to form offers more upside to the group than an undisciplined Ed.

Yes that’s called potential and youth.Lipinski wouldn't get a game with most other clubs. If he was on the open market, the only clubs that might look at him are the cellar dwellers. Allen would have have many more suitors.
I reckon there'd be clubs interested in Lipinsky at the right price. He has excellent skill by hand and foot which compensates for his lack of pace. I think Lipinsky is our classic whipping boy. He has played some excellent games during his time with us.Lipinski wouldn't get a game with most other clubs. He's played some excellent games but not consistently. He's a bit of a momentum breaker. GWS players were just running away from him. No club would be interested in him, there would be too many better options around.I reckon there'd be clubs interested in Lipinsky at the right price.
