Sure, we all know that many South Australians are very sensitive about their inability to say the word “dance” correctly. We also all know that it must be frustrating that the shops are all closed by 4pm. It’s also a known fact that South Australians are more likely to end up in a barrel in Snowtown than achieve a high school certificate but is it really the AFL’s place to intervene on these wider societal issues? As an ACT resident I don't mind the idea, being able to get to the footy with family/mates and know our teams will be in town is an alright concept. Unfortunately I was too half arsed sorting out going, but can see the appeal for folks wanting a footy related holiday.

Probably obvious but I think the SA government pays a good wedge to host it and then the players all got some extra.

I was initially critical 'it's a dumb thing that they do in nrl' but I've come around I'm actually quite curious to see how the round turns out. I also think Adelaide is the perfect host city.

Yep. I’m a bit wary of going too small (Darwin…) but all of Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Brisbane and Sydney should be able to do it
