Some pretty bad ins there.
The lack of accountability is astoundingly unaccountable.
Hinkley is just a mess.

the challenge will be him doing this for a 120 minute high intenisty afl game.Just watched vision of Rozee’s fitness test on AFL 360. I must say he is moving well. Hoping he can get through unscathed
Tbf, the SPP and Aliir injuries happened the night before the Maggies game so Burton and McEntee were pulled from the side because we were playing 5 days later on a Thursday night and we needed them as replacements. There is absolutely no way you can justify those changes. No way. You cannot drop 2 players then bring them back in without even playing out of the firsts.
This would be genuinely great.I hope a Crows fan has a sign saying “Keep Hinkley”
That would be hilarious.I hope a Crows fan has a sign saying “Keep Hinkley”
Plan A.Plan B- Bring back past failed players
He’s an AFL emergency, happy to stand corrected but it was my understanding emergencies are never named in the first Magpies side that is released but can drop back?Changes are meh, but what else did anyone expect?
Jed was always coming in for SPP.
Burton was always coming in for Aliir.
What other choice did we have?
Jez not named for Magpies either, so clearly he isn’t in a good way after the world lost its mind when he stabbed those people in Bondi…
And please tell me he isn’t sitting out this week completely at both levels to shield him from vitriol from the Crows crowd…you’re a professional footballer mate. Your job is to play. He’s an AFL emergency, happy to stand corrected but it was my understanding emergencies are never named in the first Magpies side that is released but can drop back?
Surely two of three emergencies turn out for the Magpies, you can’t have blokes not getting a game of footy when both sides play on the same day in the same location within 3.5 hours of each other.
We only won 2 during his time here.
He'd be so much of a hick he's probably singing Country Road when Charlie Cameron is kicking goals against us in Brisvegas. There is no way he's woke. He'd be a Joh Bjelke -Peterson type uneducated hick.
Agree…we could have debuted any number of players that could outperform McEntee.Mcentee offers nothing. Id much rather blood someone that has potential than continue to die on this hill.
We drafted three small forwards and have players such as Williams, who was drafted as a goal kicking forward playing in defence. Not saying he isnt good in defence but i feel playing him up forward over Mcentee is worth a shot.
The key to a ****ing culture is have at least some non-negotiables. I would be assuming Burton would be ****ing violating a broad number of them. Why even bother, you are just proving all the bullshit you talk about is exactly that because you just throw them out the window at the first real test. For those saying we couldn’t select anyone else than Burton, this is the problem.
We think short term, yes it’s obvious to replace AA with Burton, but Burton has been an effortless hack all year. His selection without demonstrating a change in attitude causes long term damage to the culture of the club. It’s rotten af - at least select someone, even a younger player, anyone, who tries 100%.
And Hinkley, as always as dumb as s**t. He took the easy option, no creativity. Shift someone else to fill the AA spot, and fill a different position with a new player.
But we have Bergman. No reason why Boak and Burgoyne cant play the wings with Bergman to defence. Ah well. For those saying we couldn’t select anyone else than Burton, this is the problem.

Is Hinkley bringing the horse?Preparing every frame of Caligula (1979) in sequential order to post in the gameday thread.
You are right, one fringe player in the side would make little difference to the outcome ... all teams have them through the year. Teams have won premierships with them in the side.I’ve never understood the crazy overreactions to who is the 22nd and 23rd player selected in a team.
We had 2 injuries that needed to be replaced and the cupboard is pretty bare at the moment.
The only head scratcher is leaving finlayson out but he might end up being a late in or we simply didn’t want to be too tall up forward, so the only available replacements for SPP were Jed or frank. Neither of them are good but it’s what we’ve got to deal with.
Burton for Allir was a no brainer, I’m actually shocked that there is such a ridiculous reaction to something as obvious as that. There were literally no other options other than clurey, and stuff that. McKenzie is injured and the young ones aren’t ready.

There are two other issues which are a concern:
1] If all we can scratch up to cover the loss of SPP is McEntee - After being dropped for constant underperformance, then we are stuffed!
2] The golden pass given him, for such very little return, is a major concern! It is potentially a demoralising issue for the list.
Ken craps on about playing the young players ... Bullshite! He has only ever done that with high draft picks, and when forced to do it. Tomorrow would have been a perfect opportunity to debut Ansasta ... He offers the same pressure as McEntee, but has more weapons. AND, he would bring the added excitement that a debut player brings to the team.
