Good changes, looks like the penny has started to drop now
Yep.

Excellent changes, club getting it right. Didn't go small in defence, didn't waste time on Rachele in the reserves, didn't rush Sloane back, didn't yoyo Soligo out of the team. Lots of ticks.

Pedlar could have used a freshen up earlier than this. Better late than never though

I feel Sloane will probably remain as the sub for the remainder 4 games.
Hopefully the next 2 games then give him a home game send off befitting a club champion against Sydney at AO.:)

Another debut. Tick.

Rachele back after a rest, Pedlar resting after struggling a bit. Seems we might be getting the hang of resting players. Still need to work on it as we could've done better to not need so much resting late in the season if we'd gone a bit earlier starting to rest them I feel.

I can tolerate not too many changes with trying to get another little continuity group going.

This week is a real test for Crouch. Not going to have ROB dominating. In fact going to be a test for our mids as a whole, not going to have it on our terms from the taps as a whole, perhaps only late in the game and maybe some qtrs when Witts tires from going with ROB and his tank. I think its fair to say we don't go near as well in our mids (and as a result forward and back) when we don't have ruck dominance. So hopefully we've got something worked out for it, being attacking off someone else's taps would be a good thing to add to our repertoire. Couldve brought in a second ruckman too, but bad luck me on that one.

Gonna be a test to for our even more inexperienced backline. Two key backs with under 5 games each doesn't ring out like its going to be a good result.

These pricks have been in some form too. Gonna be good if we can stuff up their run. Should be a dry game on a clear low wind day. Really wanting to see Nank in nice dry conditions to see how many of those marks he can hang on to.

Anyway, not really confident on this one, still feel it could be a 50-50 contest, which, considering we are at home is less confident than I typically am. Bring it on I spose.

I reckon Pedlar would have been rested last week but it was the showdown so they made it his mini grand final

Played best he has in a while too but I’m glad they didn’t change the plans off that

Selections pretty good lately

Bookies are usually more often right than wrong but the discrepancy in the betting odds I find quite baffling even if it is a home game.

I have watched the replay of all our SANFL matches and been to six lives games. I would love to see Newchurch become the next Eddy Betts and he has improved BUT he doesn’t have the defensive instincts of an AFL forward imho.

I find it amusing that one poster can see every poor disposal of Keays, Crouch etc etc but only sees the sunshine when Tariek is involved.
ah, the brain of the keays defender..

lets pick every single little part of a junior players game apart and find every excuse we can to not give him a go..

then ignore the fxxkn garbage keays dishes up every week. Hack kicks, shit handballs, erratic play, basic turnovers and kicks out on the full under zero pressure.. oh, but “every team has one or two shit players with poor skills“ they tell Us all when defending him!

there is literally zero excuses for not at least giving Newchurch a go at AFL level.

their excuse used to be that Newchurch “kicks easy goals”.. but that was simply laughable.. as he kicks the freakish goals.

then it was.. “he doesnt tackle enough”.. but that was proven incorrect when the stats showed that was simply nonsense.

then it was.. ”he just doesnt get involved”.. but this is clearly bullshit given he’s kicked bags of 3-4 goals on a few seperate occasions this year alone and is nearly always part of the chain of possessions that leads to goals. And he’s been racking up the possessions as a small forward for most of the year.

are you telling us now its just “i dont think he has the defensive instincts to be a forward at AFL level”

this is everything thats wrong with this dumbfxxk club at the moment and it shines through in a lot of the clubs dopey supporters.. its all “defensive effort.. defensive effort”.. they would rather a bloke playing as a forward defend more than actually kick fxxkn goals!..

its sheer lunacy.

they love proven duds like murphy, mchenry, rowe, keays simply because they try hard.. and will constantly defend the selection of these proven duds and go out of their way to highlight even the smallest deficiencies in the games of any potential young players that could replace them.

is so fcckn pathetic.. its the same negative bullshit that‘s seen guys like worrell and nank spend years in the SANFL and only actually end up getting a go due to injury..

we have a kid in the 2’s that has elite speed, exceptional goal sense, freakish x-factor type skills, is probably the most unselfish player on our list, hits the scoreboard most weeks, lays as many tackles as any of our other small forwards.. and we’ve never given him a run.. not one single game. We gave Rowe how many fxxkn games and then just delisted him.

yet we’ve given/gave Rowe, mchenry, murphy, keays.. opportunity after opportunity after opportunity to prove themselves at AFL level and its evident they are shit. Years of watching it and it hasnt changed.

you’d have to be a complete dumbfxxk to think this is great list management.

stop looking for every tiny little thing wrong with our junior players and start opening your fxxkn eyes to the deficiencies of the duds that this club picks week after week after week regardless of the poorly skilled shit they deliver.

Good changes, glad we resisted the urge to bring Sloane back into the 22.

Looking forward to seeing Borlase get a run, and hopefully Rachele is back to his old self and gets into the game early and gets dangerous up forward.

The footage of the supposed groin contact from Miller is pretty hard to make out. Inconclusive even. I wouldn't believe a word that flog Zorko says, Miller might have been a bit unlucky there
They aren’t appealing the decision apparently

Yeah I saw a better angle. Appears to grab his utensils.

Reminds me of Joel Selwood clearly eye gouging Riley Knight and it not even being looked at. I'm sure the MRO misses a lot of these incidents, particularly when they involve "star" players like the Selwood
